Early Mail: Roosters rookie Sam Walker is in line to make his debut despite being named in the reserves. “Sam Walker is right in the frame to make his NRL debut this weekend,” The Daily Telegraph’s Dave Riccio said on NRL Tonight. “There could be a change to the spine that may see Lachlan Lam move from five-eighth into dummyhalf to give Freddy Lussick a breather, which would then allow Sam Walker to come into the game off the bench.”

Totally agree. Depth player only to be used in emergencies but you know he will do his job.
To slow to play in the halves. Could make a handy ball playing lock.... but there are better options available for us.
Would probably be a handing pick up at a lot of other clubs
Handy for us if someone picked him up. Must be one hellava bloke - they seem to love him - but NRL standard he is not - he’s not even NSW cup standard. He was pedestrian last week - created nothing, did nothing, attempted nothing. Would love him to make me look stupid though.
Late mail: The Roosters have Luke Keary in some doubt after he suffered a knock to his knee which saw him leave the field last week. Rookie young gun Sam Walker is expected to make way on the bench to provide cover for Freddy Lussick. If Keary is out Drew Hutchinson would start in the halves with Walker on the bench but if Keary is fit, Walker could replace Hutchinson on the bench. I also expect to see Egan Butcher come into squad with fellow rookie Fletcher Baker the player to make way, Egan could even start on the left edge with brother Nat Butcher dropping back to bench.
