Yes, from an entertainment perspective I prefer the old way. NRL have become too obsessed with entertainment via continuous play. The old saying about knowing the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

You make a really good point. It's like everyone wants to overthink and over analyse every play rather than let it organically play out. Just get on with it...You can tell when ex players who are commentating (the decent ones, not the bumbling village idiot ones) get frustrated too when this goes on as they had first hand experience of what that must have been like for them in their playing days too.
