Back in the 70' 80's and 90's you wouldn't dare cause theyd thump you without blinking...Today players have to accept all criticism otherwise they'd get a big fine, suspension plus all the bad press, like Radley...so it would be OK to go up to JWH and tell him off, not that we would do that...Today I wonder if that guy who's whining about someone that it's not him, would have the cojones to tell a fan face to face that his criticism of Lam was not ok and to step out into the car park? Mind you, if Lam was at my local I'd have no problem telling him if I was disappointed in his performance.(in a reasonable way of course)

Yeah totally reasonable the kid deserves some random to come up and tell him he was disappointed in his performance - in a reasonable way of course.

I mean I would imagine most of them are totally unaware if they are playing well or not - like what clue would they have or the myriad of coaches at the club have about if a particular player was playing well.

He wasn't aware the defender was coming at him, as you say he was blindsided. I don't think the chaser was that quick, given Angus made plenty of ground to get into a position to support Lam.

LOL you have no idea go and ask sprint coach Roger Fabri how quick the chaser is As I said he is an absulute flyer

Watched the replay again today, Lam did everything he could to position his support. Yes he had Morris loom up on his left, but Saab was between them and he could not get the ball to him. When Lam sees the cover coming across, he then turns to his right and begins to slow down to try and position Crichton, but he was then ambushed by Saab. I could not fault what he did as he had the ball in position to pass to Crichton, hence why it was knocked out of his hands when he hit ther ground

Easier said than done watching from the sideline/tv and after countless reviews and replays. As BJG would say you don't have time for a committee meeting out there.

I think the Statler and Waldorf mob are either the greatest undiscovered footy players and or footy coaches ever in the history of the game or just a bunch of negative nobodies with a inferiority complex- take your pick I am leaning well and truly towards the latter
