Manly have a good record over the Chooks overall - 64% winning ratio- so it wont be easy

The game is set up for a good old fashioned Dessie Hasler ambush. Hopefully we will be well prepared and will get the job done

Last year we were slow out of the blocks and got left behind.
Game 2 we lost to Manly...a Manly player ("turbo"?) nearly took Morris' or Teddy's head off to save a try..."great tackle" said the commentators.
Short, sharp forearm jolts to the heads of our players in tackles on their way to the ground, and decking our kickers high and late are common these days.
Time to make other teams stop doing it.

Oh well, bring on the cricket scores.
Too bad we didn't buy a big workhorse to replace him.

I won’t be complacent even the Tigers beat us in round one a couple of years ago. But the result at the end of the year was OK.

Watching all these easy crash barge over tries up the guts so far is exactly why Robbo likes Nat Butcher.

He's an excellent defender around the ruck.

Just providing an alternative viewpoint to all the Butcher haters.

The Roosters will line up 1-17 with Fletcher Baker and Sam Walker dropping off the extended bench.

Defense i think is most important because we are so error and penalty prone. We often go long periods without possession. But I don’t know if this new look side is as mentally tough as in 2019. Last year towards the end we just couldn’t match the intensity of the new rules.

There maybe breaks in the first and second half after 20 or so minutes like I understand they had in the Sheepy Bros vs Tits game

Haven't seen the stats but there hasn't been a lopsided overblown 6 again count so far? If we can complete, hopefully get a fair go. I get sick of watching then hand the ball to the team that's 20 points behind.

Hope the boys are fit and ready.

Robbo just said JWH was injured in the trial against the Raiders and wasn't able to train for 10 days.
