  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Sea Eagles

    Footy is back!

All this talk about nobody favoring The Roosters this year. Today is the day we change that narrative. Just a gentle reminder to the so called ‘experts’ that we are the premier club and still the premier team.

”The Roosters barely win their first round matches”. Blah blah blah. No bloody excuses. Today we flex our muscles and put the competition on notice.

    LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEEEEE!

    Go Roosters!

The good news is that Manly's first game in a season stats are worse than ours...They haven't won one since 2013. That gives me hope that we will start off with a comfortable win...But when we go into play Manly when we are odds on to teach them a lesson, they turn the table on us...e.g last seasons game and I still remember that game at the SFS in 2011 when we were hot favourites against a depleted Manly, yet Foran and DCE destroyed us. Foran might be finished, at the dogs but lets hope that his first game back at Manly and with DCE doesn't become an issue for us tonight.

Welcome back game...and Thirteens much loved starter thread.

Interested to see how we adjust to the new world of PVL rugby. Ball in play more, less stoppages, survival of the fittest. Robbos trained them for it.

We look fitter and leaner than I can recall for this time of year. Bodes well for an early flyer.

Key factor for us this year is how effective the Moz bros. will be against the younger bucks in the fast paced environment. Here's hoping they have one more big year in them.

If we get any even suck of the sav with the very subjective 6 again rule, we will go close to winning any game.

We want to be undefeated this year at the SCG and make it our fortress.

Can see a big win if a few things fall into place.

Here's to a great full length season. Welcome back Roosters.

I love watching Roosters v Manly & I hope it’s a good close game hopefully going the Roosters way.
I think it will be close & I just hope the Chooks don’t get any injuries.
Won’t be there Thirteen because I’m still up on the far north coast but I’ll be watching & cheering them on.
                    Go the MIGHTY ROOSTERS.

Foram will go down the first time he gets tackled. Harder than that piece of shit Walker. Such a shame Rads won’t be there to smash him again.

                            You will be missed.

I hope you won’t be too disappointed if it’s not a close game and we smash them.

see i don't understand the anti paddo sentiment. maybe he carries on a bit but he's not the only one. why wouldn't you want to have a chat with a bloke who can tell you stories about roosters teams and culture from before you were born?
still, it's your ticket and you can do what you want with it
