Even back in the 80's there was some great talent.
I remember Noa Nadruku at Canberra and always wondered why clubs didn't bring more players over from Fiji but it seems a few decent players have come from there over the last decade..
They generally can be lazy people and Fiji time does exist but also can be hard workers too, they are a funny breed.
Hopefully this kid can make it and we can find a few more to join him.

My next door neighbour is from Fiji and went to the same High School as this kid. He said the kid was well known as a prodigy and was slotting penalty goals from 50m line at 15 years of age. I'm not exactly how he fits into the long term plan but I am not aware of all the junior players we have so I can't really make a comment. Excited to see him play in the silktails though.

On a side point, we may only perceive Fijians as being lazy because our culture, especially in the big cities, is obsessed with working - the whole 5 on/2 off standard work week.

But if you grew up on a tropical island, where life is slower, I mean why wouldn't you want to enjoy life more and live on "Fiji time"? Fark the obsession with full time work if you live on a tropical Island and can afford to spend more time relaxing.

This kid is a gun ! If manu goes we will have smith, sualii and this guy with toops an Teddy! He can kick goals from centre or wing ! One day i think this new kid maybe the top point scorer with that goal kicking accuracy on point! Drop kicking from the 40m line is ganna be a walk in the park for this kid! Development contract means he can slot right in this year if need be ,being 20 years old this year

The article says the Silktails are soon to announce what NRL side they will be a feeder to - I thought they had already announced it was us last year? Unless the deal is off? Seems with two Silktails transitioning to Roosters that it would be us.

Unless they are announcing which club will associated with when they transition to NSW Cup (I assume next year) - as we already have the Bears contracted

i think they're only playing in nsw cup in 2022 so that announcement would be for next year?
