We already have plenty of backrow/locks like Mitchell Aubusson, Setaimata Sa, Tom Symonds, Nick Kouparitsas, Anthony Cherrington, Dylan Sharp, Boyd Cordner. Maybe too much competition for one spot?

That's the problem with signing Carney. Carney will be 5/8. What do you then do with Anasta?

The problems aren't when they're starting out, it's their second or third year into the process that's the problem. In fact their first year is often their best!

Look at Sa, SKD, Maubs and Pearce - if you're honest you'd admit they've stagnated, rather than improved in the past year or so.

There is plenty of improvement in those blokes, we just need someone in charge who can bring it out in them.

And I just don't reckon Fittler is the coach to do that.

Fair to say that it is looking unlikely that Fittler will be your coach next year. I would not be surprised to see an experienced coach in charge. I am not suggesting that it will be, but someone like Tim Sheens. Someone who has a history of rebuilding clubs.
