The thing that worries me for this season is an increase in injuries caused by the speeding up of the game. I think a rotation policy, especially for the forwards will be very important, we need another forward to replace cords $350,000 for 12 weeks sounds perfect for an SBW or a Sam Moa.

They might have to increase the interchange again.
There is no way footy players are going to end up well after this season.

Whoever they get will have to be available for the full season not just 12 weeks - if they sign a replacement that player will be player number 29 - They will have only 1 spot available( number 30 ) to fill to complete the 30 player roster.

Haven't seen anything on the net to suggest they are considering someone- not sure if they are looking externally - the following is a link to all trial and train players at each club

Sign Up Maloney ??? solves potential halves and goal kicking probs .He is 34 so he meets the Rooster criteria ........Tick....Has a walker ...Tick......... .Won a comp ...Tick ...is a a very missed clown ....Tick.
Cheap contract to join after June halfway.....makes up for cords 350 grand well spent and then LOL@souffs while they pin their hopes on Benji Busted cant tackle Marshall.

For Lam he is best to concentrate on half back play and cementing that role without the added burden of goal kicking - Tedesco maybe able to handle it although you don't want goal kicking playing on their minds and affecting their general play normally and or if having a bad day with the boot.
On Fitzy’s podcast he mentioned that SST is in a lot of pain when kicking goals due to injury.

But he kicks them for Tonga?- mmm so it's out of Lam and Tedesco unless Keighran is in the 17

one thing in our favour is that we have a coach who is always learning and evolving. i note joey johns has joined the roosters are going to slide bandwagon but if we can stay fit we'll be there or thereabouts

His tips have a habit of not occurring though - i seem to recall him tipping the Bronco's to win the comp last year i think or maybe previous year

No he said he gets a lot of pain if he tries to kick a goal these days because he injured his foot just before he retired.

                          That sounds more like it.

I am reading a great book at the moment called Strive by Dr Adam Fraser who gave us all free copies as he was a guest speaker for us recently at work. In one of the chapters he spoke of John Wooden, the UCLA basketball coach who won 10 national championships in 12 years of coaching, 7 of them in a row, giving him a win rate of over 80%. He said that he never spoke of winning or losing but focusing on the art of mastering the game and also talks about the 1% that SBW often spoke of too. I remember when Mitchell Pearce was performing really well for us when he was in a good head space and he had spoken of how he and one of the other players he was close to at the time would often go and do their own extra training after hours just to go and enjoy some time just playing for the sheer joy of it and not 'as work',

Exactly. As soon as I read that I was relieved.

Yeah, Bahrain’s got it backwards (no offence Stsae). Fitzy broke his leg just before retirement & now can’t kick without it “stinging like a bitch”. He said SST is a “high class” kicker & will be our 1st choice.
