I’d love to have Crighton extended for 3 more years, and we sign a prop similar to LOD or Moa. It’ll erase all the bad memories of 2020, and makes the future looking a little more brighter.

Side note, how did he blow all his cash? This morning I did business with an ex-Raiders player from the late 80's (golden era) whose career was cut short by injury. He only had a few years in the NRL on an 80's salary... and yet he's leveraged his connections to do extremely well outside footy. He was talking about how lotsa ex-players are doing great in the business world and it's a massive advantage because heaps of people he knows from footy (plus through circles - even yawnion players...etc) are high up in banks...etc so they're always a phone-call away if he needs a hand in business. Also there's always old buys BBQs and stuff to give you a bit of networking.
Others seem to somehow end up hanging out with d!ckheads who have nothing to do with the sport other than the fact they loiter around like a bad stench, selling people drugs and shyte.
It's really disappointing that LOD didn't make better choices outside footy (same with Gordon). I mean one can say they were never THAT successful... but they were both fukking rep players who earned modern, fully professional $$$. To me there's no excuse when guys who have played for 2-3 seasons during the 80's can have a proper crack at doing legitimate business!!!Last edited by ism22; 12-11-2020, 03:25 PM.
