Keary did play half in 2018 and won us a premiership despite Aubusson wearing the 7 and Cronk being on the field.

This is hypothetical, of course, but wouldn't be great if we could have an all conquering team like some of those listed above, assuring Souffs can never win the premiership again?

  • No Salary Cap in 2022! What do you do?

Seeing as though the off season is well under way I thought it maybe interesting to put together some current "dream" teams.

If you were in charge of the roster at the Chooks and had to put together a 17 to win the comp in 2022 who makes your team?

    Rules are:
    • There's no salary cap
    • Players will agree to come to the club and can break their current contracts to do so.
    • You can't select a player out of position. Even if they play multiple positions you need to choose them in their prefered position that they play most of the time at club level (i.e. Latrell plays FB now at club level, and Wighton is a 5/8 so neither can be picked at centre)
    • You can't select players who are rumoured to be on the verge of retirement - so no Cam Smith or Cords etc
    • Has to be a current NRL player or developmental player with any of the 16 clubs - so no union or super league players.
    • Only one player per position. So no either/or selections
    • You can only have one utility on the bench, the other 3 have to be forwards
    • Chose a coach and one Assistant

    My team is
    1. James Tedesco (c)
    2. Daniel Tupou
    3. Stephen Crichton
    4. Joey Manu
    5. Joseph Suaalii
    6. Luke Keary
    7. Nathan Cleary
    8. Payne Hass
    9. Josh Hodgson (vc)
    10. Sio Siua Taukeiaho
    11. Viliame Kikau
    12. Angus Crichton
    13. Victor Radley
    14. Dale Finucane
    15. David Fifita
    16. Jake Trbojevic
    17. Harry Grant
    Coach: Robbo Assistant: Fitzy
