If only we had come in 6th or 7th, been rewarded for mediocrity throughout the year we could have played a hapless Knights team and now a busted and suspended Parramatta and be looking at GF qualifier next week.

We come 4th.
Game one is always a 50/50 game but game 2 we should of won. A top 4 is always better as it gives you 2 shots.
If we could of only manage 7th or 8th would we of been good enough to get past this weekend, I don't think we would of.
Penrith, Storm & Souths are well ahead of us at the moment, if the season ended 5-6 weeks ago we would of won the premiership but they timed the run home better then us.
Plus a few things out of our control hasn't helped.

Whist we were terrible with a bounce of luck we beat Penrith and then only have to beat Souffs or Parra to make the GF.

You did say "thrash ", you can make up all the excuses you want but the fact is we fell behind 27-10 and 16-0 hardly the form to boast about. The souffs debacle was our death knell, that pathetic effort will haunt us for years. Never again will Robinson tell the team to take it easy. He would've been better off sending out the reserves, at least they would've had a dig. One loss totally screwed our year.
