The backline never lost the game tonight.
Our forward pack got smashed for significant periods of the game.
We had several injuries with Collins a huge out.
I had no problems and happy to go with the same squad next year.
Hall is going back to the old Dart.
Maubs will be hard to cover but we have lots coming through.
Hopefully Victor is not hampered by his knee but coming from experience (I have had 2 ACL recons) it takes a year to recover.
I have great expectations for next year!

Next year is a fresh start. Hopefully we can regain that hunger after this season's disappointment. We get Victor, Sam and Billy back, but we are going to miss SST. We do need to make some changes and the half back position might be one of them. Sam Walker might break onto the scene and I am looking forward to seeing how that goes.

Talking premierships is probably a bit too premature, but it never hurts to dream and dream big!

Have you read somewhere that SST has done his ACL because Robbo said last night in the Pressa that it was medial, not ACL.

Really? I think our pack needs changes. Didn’t get over the opposition in either semi. There is no agro there. JWH is no longer feared and Cords is aging and always injured.

I thought the three quarters were great. Individually. Seemed a real lack of cohesion in the backline though - last night and against Penrith. It seemed even more stark against the Panthers given how their backline played for each other like a pack of dogs.

I didn't say that they did.

I do think though we need an improvement in backline defense, and better control/game management to win a comp.

Unlike the last 2 seasons we lacked the above when it counted, towards the end of the season

Regarding the pack I think we have the right personnel. Most of them are big game rep players. They just didn't execute as well as they should have. The biggest issue were the numerous injuries throughout. They need a break to recover. Throw Radley (and to a lesser extent) Sammy V into that foward back/bench and we get the spark that was missing
