  • Anybody else relieved?

    To sum up 2020...
    - Bushfires
    - Hail (smashed my house and I'm still fighting @rseholes from the insurance company over the last mile of the job... almost had a breakdown over them saying '[blah] just breaks over time [despite the fact the roof above it broke and flooding clearly farked it up]')
    - COVID (for everybody on so many levels)... literally couldn't see my daughter (in Japan) once this year and might not see her next year TBH
    - Injuries (not just Radley and Verrills... 11 players out some weeks severely hurt our chances!)
    - Today got a rejection for a job I was super keen on (not devo or bitter but just another blow amongst all the above)
    - Ended up with Melbourne, Souffs and Canberra (where I live - heaps of wankaz will give me shyte making the finals

Wasn't our year! But fark Pemriff were good and if I'm honest, we were the only team capable of winning them!!!

Do I support them? HELL NO! Fark off NRL, fark off 2020 and bring on 2021!!!

Oh and go the NRLW!!!! Quietly our women did all the heavy lifting last week and WHO KNOWS!!! With Brisbane and NZ all isolated from NSW (which let's be honest - is where it's all at) who knows!!!

I'm ok , surprisingly, I didn't actually think we'd win. just little signs showed we weren't the same team. I'm still damn proud. thanks to all chookpenners.

look I love my Roosters ... but i think our cards were drawn v Souffs game no way would they let in 20 points let alone 50 points in three weeks let alone one game , from then on it was more hope than we can win this ... we had no Cronk to settle our nerves it was almost catch up footy till then.

            No.

Frustrated. So frustrated we never got to see this side hit their straps this year because I still believe so much in that squad of players. **** injuries & **** COVID.

And proud, so ****ing proud. This signifies the end of a period where we dominated the game and did what no other NRL team has managed to do in the salary cap era.

              Yes, kinda relieved.

Injuries have absolutely battered us in 2020.

You simply don't win Premierships with such horrid luck.

It's been an incredible run, but as soon as we got murdered by Souffs the writing was on the wall. And then a week later it was etched in stone.

Had we pulled this out of the hat I reckon we'd have been massacred next week anyway as the tank was dry.

And so the great run has come to an end. It had to happen sooner or later. At the end of the day we banked b2b Premierships in the cabinet and nothing will ever detract from that.

I don't know if relieved is the correct word. Pissed off maybe. Why would you not pick your best forward (Collins) from the past few games?

No, some of these guys still have a ****ing Origin series to play......ridiculous.

It should be a one off Origin match, not 3 matches in 3 weeks - pull the players Robbo!

                    Amen.

There's a very sound reason why the jealousy of us by other clubs and their followers is fiercer than the grave.

Our back to back feat won't be topped for another 30 years.

Golden runs can’t last forever and we are still the only club in the modern era to go back to back. I’m pretty proud of where we are.

Canberra earned their win even with some tough calls going against us so let them have their moment in the sun as one thing is for sure... when the comps over, they will still be almost 30 years without a premiership and we will still be back to back winners taking one away from them in the process!

Think I know who’s having the last laugh!

Not relieved but really not surprised. We finished the season with nothing in the tank and very out of form. Just not our year this year.

i look forward to sitting back and watching Souths and the raiders both get pummeled next week. Should be fun to watch

Not relieved. Frustrated that we could have won tonight and last week if it wasn't for 20 lackluster minutes each game.
We had our chances tonight but we just didn't match them the first 20 minutes. That cruel bounce summed up our night. With Collins missing and SST missing the second half we did well to almost pinch it.
They introduced the 6 again mid year to control results and it has worked for them. They are desperate for a new winner. Look out Storm next week. We adjusted well but injuries and tiredness got us in the end.
We'll bounce back and give it a red hit crack next year with Rads and Verrils back.
We have been blessed the last 8 years and more good times to come.

It’s now between the raiders, eels, storm, souffs and storm . Geez the only likeable team of the bunch is the eels

To lose those last three weeks the way we did and then crash out in straight sets is extremely difficult and disappointing. Its gonna be a long off season.
Should have finished off better. Aubo deserved better
