    100% spot on.

No one is talking about the no call on the high tackle on Jmoz to prevent a try vs Canberra. That would have made it 16-all with a kick to come.

If the situation was reversed it'd be "6 again hysteria" all over again.

Cummins "crime" wasn't the 6 again incident. It was that the team who benefited, or so they say, was the Roosters.

If it was Canberra you'd have had the likes of Matty Johns & Tallis giggling and laughing about it. And the likes of Crawley & Webster calling us privileged whingers.

Another quality TS post; mine won't be as articulate because I'm still mad.

The part I have put in bold text sums it up perfectly. The silence with regard to CNK taking off JMoz's head is testament to that very thing. So, fark the nrl, fark the faiders, fark the drizzle, fark the vermin, and fark the black cats. I won't be watching any more games this year, including shyte of origin.

Blame the irresponsibility of the media. Completely.

They lit this fire , dragged the whole thing on and allowed what is really fake news to become folklore. Of course non Easts fans grabbed and ran with it.

Its because WHO it was against ...the bad guys vs the good guys.

Happens every day in the media esp in America. Think "peaceful" protests and Trump derangement syndrome. Its here as well of course.

        Blame the media. 2+2 = 5.

Remember the dumb arse Thurston's first question to Robbo?

I was at the game and on the way home all Raiders supporters were congratulating me. Nobody knew anything about the 6 again call being so controversial. As soon as I hit the car that is all anyone was talking about on the radio. And that is what it was like for weeks. If it had been on the other foot and we copped the same call then Cummins would have been given the keys to Canberra and put in a horse carriage and had a ticker tape parade.
I'm kinda glad my hard drive crashed and I don't have that footage anymore from Channel 9. I have NEVER seen Robbo get so angry in such a short space of time when Thurston put that question to him. I was texting Horrie Hastings in a fury because there were no congratulations on JUST winning B2B less than 15 mins previously..just jumped in with both feet in his mouth with his disrespectful comments...I agree with some comments on here a few weeks back about how in the US the commentary is more clinical with professionals rather than ex-players shooting their mouths off all the time with no filters...I used to watch Pot Black on the ABC with my Dad as he loved Eddie Charlton..everything was quiet, calm, rational and respectful..Not NRL I know but this free for all, shouting nonsense is just embarrassing, especially on grand final day. They need to be more discerning in regards to who they give microphones to.

IMO the media hung him out to dry too. It's a disgrace how much whinging has gone on about our victory over a 12 month period. I'd argue it's all fuelled by the media too. At the game there was zero objection to it... people just wanted an excuse for the loss and the media cherrypicked this one.

I literally went home from the stadium on a train + walked up Albion st to my place without hearing anybody suggest anything 'controversial'. Then I read the papers the next day and apparently our win was controversial + people from Canberra were messaging me to say it was all 'controversial'. I had no response to this as the clutch moment was a 90m try that was simply poor defence on behalf of the Faders.

Sorta glad we're not in the preliminary finals because I'm sick of how we've been treated as fans too. For a full ~6 months after our win I'd go to kids' parties with my 4 y/o and have fully grown men/women telling me that my team didn't deserve to win. About a month ago the same thing happened... straight after the Roosters v Raiders game we visited the same family and they were heckling me as if they'd just won a GF. I was graceful and was like 'congrats... yeah it was a good game... well earned... hope you guys beat the Storm...etc'. (Didn't mention the dog shot on Morris once or give a whinging couldabeen scenario). Maybe that's just how Robbo's coached us as fans as well? Our defence wasn't good enough to win... own it and move on!

To me there's been no grace about it all. I know I regularly blame the refs after a bad loss as this is a natural part of the grieving process. However, for 12 months and directly targeted at friends during BBQs and stuff? Nup. To me the Faders + media have been big babies about it. I'm glad we lost because they can all shut up now.
Agree. I've never been made to feel guilty before over a GF win..even people who know nothing about NRL were giving it to me last year..so glad I work from home now..with neighbours who follow us..we just meet in the hallway to discuss games when we run into each other... Glad not to be a part of it this year as sad as it is, whoever does win this year will have the Covid asterisk next to their names.

Honestly who cares. Complaining about referees is the lowest form of wit.

Not on bringing his family into it But oh the irony of how this came about due to his Rooster hate making him call 6 again when he didn’t know either way

I know this is a footy forum but this has got be the best post this year everything you said is 100% spot on but your last line sums up exactly what the problem is.

                  Huge debts
Longer working weeks plus (travel time)
COVID rubbish (it’s serious I’m just sick of hearing about it)
People being spoon fed from birth about how entitled they are and that they’re somehow owed something. Look at what COVID did to people in Woolworths women brawling over Toilet paper a perfect example of what you mentioned about acquiring as many possessions as possible, imagine if we had a world war or a Great Depression and there was a food shortage people will kill each other daily.
Social Media I cannot put into words how much I hate this but the best way would be to compare it would be with another group of words I hate more, Politically Correct and the South Sydney Rabbitohs. (Is the chookpen social media platform)?

Another thing try and date someone from my generation (I’m 31) and you will realise just how ****ed up our society has become Lefties, Righties, Feminists, Male feminists (Peter Fitzsimmons) Social Justice Warriors, Animal activists, Conservationists, Tree huggers.
(Not all of the above are bad things I’m just trying to make a point)
Disagree with someone over one of those things and there is outrage every bloody year were outraged about something no two people can stand each other long enough to have a decent constructive conversation without getting worked up over a difference of opinion.

I live on my own my mortgage is under 6 figures, the bank keeps reminding me to reinvest until I politely told them to get ****ed I’m alive and well my family is alive and well The Chooks are the greatest club of all and that’s all that matters to me everything else is just noise.

                  GO EASTS!!!
