Our complete right hand side has gone quiet the last couple of weeks. No attack and very leaky poor defence. Manu and B moz being starved of quality ball. However the answer for me would be butcher. Sitili hasn’t impressed me in defence lately - the misread on kikau last weekend and the follow up effort on crighton who burst through was not finals standard.

Surely Robbo is playing mind games here Butcher 100% will come in, our defence is Robbo’s pride and joy why leave arguably our greatest defender out of the side? Doesn’t make any sense at all.
That argument aside our right edge has been so defensively poor way below FG standard if Robbo can fix this (which I don’t think he can) we win every game from here on out I have zero confidence in either player I hope Chricton’s presence shores up the right edge.

jake back in the team makes a difference. lachie v souths and freddy last week weren't bad but jake's a more dominant defender. if you're pushing the attacker back a bit and slowing down the ruck even for a fraction of a second it allows the whole defensive line to set better.

I have no doubt that Butcher is a far better defender than Sitili.
But many have said that Sitili is a great attacker.
He had a great game against the wooden spooners but since then he has been very average.
Did he look good against a very average defending team and that is what some are holding onto?
Have teams worked him out?
Has he become lazy?
Or is he gassed like a few others?

These are the stats since that Broncos game.
Sitili has had more than double the time on the field but Butcher has more than doubled every attacking stat below.

No contest. Butcher in, Sitili out. We need to tighten up defence. SBW has to be there. He gives us an attacking option in addition to Teddy and Keary.

Butcher is boring as bat shit and doesn't install fear in the opposition and never bends the line. But the boy can tackle. And after leaking 1000 points the last 2 weeks, his defense is what we need.

As an armchair critic, I also back Butch for his defence.
But at the end of the day, we will just have to TiT!!

I think Butcher hits the line ok. His post contact metres are pretty good. Last year he was dragged backwards a lot but this year he seems to hold his own and makes the extra ground. Maybe not as fast getting there as some. Whereas Sitili does get dragged back at times because of his light frame.

I agree with Buddy, QWERTY and JAF, Butch for sure and certain at the moment. Defense has to be our top priority.
