What’s the difference between a Raiders fan and a Roosters fan?

The Raiders fans clap at the beginning of the games.Roosters fans clap at the end of games!

I said that to my mate (Faiders fan) before last year's Grand final.

He was talking out his ass about how the Viking clap and raiders atmosphere will destroy us before the ball is even kicked off.

I told him to really, REALLY enjoy the Viking clap....

Cause it'll be the last time a Faiders fan claps in that game.

Yep, that’s been doing the rounds for a while now and was very true at the GF last year.

      Love ya work Farian!

That's a good one. Very fitting! Hopefully another win later in the season.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

When I attended the game, I asked a few Faders fans where their one handed clap was.

Literally npbody does it anyway. If you watched TV ads alone you'd think there's this 'WE ARE COMIIIING' horn playing the whole time and a completely mesmerised crowd claps in perfect synchronisation.

Reality? A pre-recorded horn and clap briefly play over a tinnie PA system before the game. If they score there's a horn as well. Occasionally some freak holding a fake skeleton yells out 'get off him' (usually when the Faders are attacking, or nobody's been tackled). Too much choreography is required to have a real 'viking clap'... they expect far too much musical talent outta a bunch of drunk bogans. Ironically, before they 'invented' that clap (2019), they did have a bit of a presence.

Oh yeah and they play boos over the PA system. The weekend was hilarious because (confirmed by friends who were inside) since they only sold like ~1000 tickets, all you could hear was:
            - Booing from the PA (which after a while starting sounding like fans booing the Faders for letting in tries, conceding penalties or dropping the ball)
            - Me standing outside, crowing into the stadium + yelling 'caaaaaaan Easts/Teddy/SBW' (echoed more than I thought it would because nobody was there).
            - An increasingly pathetic voice over the PA saying 'come on fans, cheer the Raiders home!' [followed by nothing]

It was pretty lame. Hilarious that their tactic of only letting members buy tickets meant that despite having the numbers in theory, nobody showed up and the general public just went home.
