Saints won by 2, hardly a pumping.

Broncos lost 6 straight, then won one; have lost another 6 straight
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

    • Nice win with plenty of positives especially the nice return of JWH who seemed to run with lot more vigour than few weeks back.
Hutch could play the bench utility role with great effect once keary Tis back, he showed some real nice touches tonight.
Flanno: welcome back to first grade.
      Morris twins: thank you
The whole team : well done let’s move onto our next assignment

      • If Toups or Cords are ready to come back next week, they will play.
IMO best possible team will go on every week, until the top 4 spot is sewn up.
Once that happens, guys like SST and Teddy, who need a break, will get time off - maybe in the last 2 regular games of the season.

        • I'm so glad that Anasta never won a competition with the Roosters. He is just a jealous wank who is always death riding the Roosters any chance he gets. Talks like he knows the inner workings of the team when he has no idea. The six again calls is going to wreck this game. It needs some tweaking. The referee should have the option of calling a penalty instead of a six again. Coming out of your own quarter, I'd rather a penalty, kick for touch and make 20 or so metres, regroup and have six tackles. Maybe they should look at six again calls when in the opposition half and a penalty in your own half. At present, teams know that refs will not blow a penalty and play accordingly. There has to be an option for the referee to use common sense and unfortunately this is where it breaks down.

A few more 6 agains and we could have lost tonight. It’s a way of starving a team of the ball, field position and momentum. I don’t believe it’s being used fairly.
ABSOLUTELY! I hate this rule, and as I said in another thread, they are handed out like lollies by some. It is definitely deciding games.

And what about the Fox commentators last night! So biased, and they don't even seem to know the rules! They questioned every ruling that went in favour of the Roosters and ignored contentious rules against them Practically cheered every time Tigers made a break or half-break. There was one telling play when Tigers dropped the ball and they yelled 'OH, NO!', and then a Rooster player dropped the ball straight away and they practically cheered!

            • Hutch is your old style journeyman but he also has an impressive playing CV. He was chosen in consecutive years for the junior Kangaroos, captained NSW U/20s, kicked the winning field goal in the 2016 ISP Grand Final (Norths v Mounties) and before injury was a consistently skilful performer for the Dragons. He's no dud just as, realistically, no one who plays NRL can be said to be that. Comparison usually determines dud status - inferior to Keary, Cronk, Sonny Bill and the like. He has all of the skills, he's a thinker and all he needs is game time and some ego building. It looked like fatigue was a factor in a couple of mistimed tackles last night but despite that he was prominent and delivered as did the youngun.

              • Junior showed his class with that over the top pass to BMoz. Looked like he had all the time in the world.

Yep, and he would’ve won Trents heart with his cover defence too

I was thinking the same about the 6 again. I'd prefer the kick for touch. I'm sure it's just for this year.

                      Yes...
there is something about Hutch. He reminds me of Nick Foles the journeyman quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles who annihilated the greatest QB in history in the superbowl a few years ago.

                      Hutch the Clutch?

                      • The 6 again rule has made games more interesting but if they are given away on tackle 0/1 it should be a penalty. There needs to be 2 refs, one to keep an eye on the ruck and one for the rest. With one ref there is quite a few things missed.

He is a rancid cnunt of a player. He's always dropping his knees into the back of thighs or calves as players are on the ground. I wish someone would burst both his cheeks with their fists.
