We can more than match their pack at full strength

He made 50 tackles on Thursday. 53 last week as well. He gets through work just doesn’t have that impact

Farmersilly is plenty big enough - 110kg & 188cm is plenty for a young prop.

Butcher's problem is he is only 96-98 kg and has no mongrel. A bad combo in 1st grade as a middle forward. And he doesn't offer enough to be an edge forward imo.

There are exceptions: Moa was similar in stature(albeit heavier at around 105) but he had bucketloads of mongrel running a the line & balls as big as truck tyres. The only other smaller props that have done well in NRL first grade - players like Gallen and Thiday - were successful because they had the same mentality. Butcher needs that if he going to succeed.

The other option is to mould him as a Dallas Johnson/Shaun Fensom style tackle bot - a lock that plugs a hole in the middle of the field and is purposely underutilised in the hit up / attack department. That's how i think he'll probably end up long term - he'll develop as an 80 minute lock that tackles his arse off.

Liu, SST, Aubusson, Sitilli & Butcher were no match for the Storms giants.
SST was immense - not sure what game you were watching. Liu is playing injured.
SST and Liu have a multi-premiership winning middle forwards. They'll get the job done for us and then some, no worries. They've rolled over more packs than i've had hot dinners.
Jury is out on Sitili and Butcher.

Yes strong defensive player but offers little in attack. Doesn’t bend the line too often. Not very aggressive. Seems a nice guy. Maybe should have concentrated on tennis or golf.

I want to see Butcher coming on and say 'Yeah Nat's on!' but unfortunately I'm waiting for that moment....Whereas when Liu comes on, I am not over-exited about it, but I know I can trust he will always be a positive for the team at the time. They don't all have to be TKO or JWH, but let me think that I can look forward to their input and with Nat it seems to be that I am always waiting for something to look forward to...Maybe Sonny's presence might spark something in him!

Daniel Fifita is massive. Sure he’s young. Just needs to be immense
                  ..it’ll be interesting to see

Hughes went right between Stitili & Lui. I'm disappointed in the effort from both of them. Liu's attempt was nothing more than an arm grab.

I hope the pack gets some mongrel into it come finals time, or we are finished.

Geez you guys are vicious!!! The guy started at prop against Storm and made 50 tackles with a 98% efficiency rate.... then you expect him to produce a Radley style game in attack?

Sign of the times....when a 6ft 98kg player gets called "too small". Yes Nat's form hasn't been of the last couple of years but don't write him off-he deserves better.

Keep hearing his younger brother is a real gun.....maybe get a run this week???

Unfairly overhyped by fans and labelled as some sort of prodigy superstar. Always on a hiding to nothing with that sort of pressure.

To me its clear Robbo is trying to groom Butcher to be our next Maubs. A versatile Mr Fix It who can slot into multiple positions and do the job well. He isn't going to bust a game open for you, just provide a solid defence and dependable carries.

Not every player in the 17 can be some dynamo attacking weapon. You reliable utilities too, and that is exactly where Butcher can work for us long term IMO

Not sure how he will be our next Maubs.

He is mainly a middle forward. Can't cover centre, wing, five eighth, hooker, doesn't hit a hole and scores about 1 try a season.

Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

Butcher is about as versatile as Jarred.

Maybe its time for Baker to come in & replace Butcher.
