    Big teams smashing us.
In almost every position Storm players were much bigger, stronger, faster than our players.
I'm surprised Keary lasted this long without being smashed into serious injury.

Questions must be asked of V'landys...the buck stops with him.
Our club should launch into a tirade of outrage and objection at him at 9am today.
He's the one employing the referees.

      Bring back Todd Greenberg!
      Bring back 2 referees.

Our club should release a media statement at 9am today...statement of complaint and outrage.
Might as well go down fighting.

Luke seems to be marked as a target that the refs aren't watching ... last years gf tackles in the air again tonight tackles in the air ...all NO penalties....
Add prowler tackle to the list of Storm thuggery...chicken wings, crusher tackles, legs etc ...all designed to cause serious injury.
That's the thuggery everyone's favourite team dishes up.

Then maybe the club should be smarter about recruitment and recruit some larger, faster bodies ourselves.

Tets had errors in him, however he brought the pain and fear when Jared went off, Lindsay is awesome bending the line and getting us going forward like Payne Haas nothing scary about him, no Victor, Jared, Cords, Gus and as someone else said no fear factor in that lineup.

FWIW in the presser Robbo said he forced him off. Twomey instructed him to get off and he said 'nah I am fine' so Robbo had to force him off... 'sometimes you've gotta protect them from themselves'.

Quality call from a player welfare perspective IMO.

His personal physio (Not club) posted 2 hours ago saying no internal damage, diagnosed non-displaced rib fractures (2-6 week recovery depending on location and significance of fractures)

So he’ll be a few weeks out at least. It’s something he could eventually needle up and play with towards the back end of the recovery, but he’ll only be rushed back in if needed (probably depends on our form, results)

Ideally won’t want to rush these injured as even if he plays needled up he will be very uncomfortable and in pain, which will effect his game

Champion Roosters five-eighth Luke Keary has been discharged from hospital following overnight tests which cleared him of serious internal injuries.

Keary was picked up from St Vincent’s Hospital by club medical staff at 3am and taken home.

Tests revealed no damage to the spleen, which had been first feared after he left the field during the Roosters’ clash with Melbourne Storm at the SCG.

Instead he has suffered a badly broken rib in two places which is likely to sideline him for two weeks.

It adds to a horror injury toll for the Roosters, who now have 11 players in the casualty ward as they battle to defend their back-to-back premierships.

The history-seeking Sydney Roosters are busted, broken and battered like never before in the club’s 112-year history.

Champion five-eighth Luke Keary was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst, on Thursday night with suspected internal bleeding — the latest addition to a grisly 11-player injury toll at Bondi.

The Roosters’ injury list grew to a crippling level during a horrible 24-6 loss to Melbourne at the SCG, any hopes of a historic three-peat looking increasingly unlikely.

Keary came off with a rib injury in the 63rd minute — when hammered by Storm centre Brenko Lee — and lay on prone on the turf when treated by two club trainers

Paramedics were immediately called to the Roosters dressing rooms to diagnose Keary, who was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

“He’s not great at the moment – it’s pretty painful, something internal. We thought it was ribs but we worked out it’s probably something deeper than that,” said Roosters coach Trent Robinson after the match.

“He’s in quite a bit of pain.”

Former Roosters teammate and halves partner, Cooper Cronk added: “Luke’s a tough kid. He’s played a lot of football under extreme pressure and pain at different stages so for him to go off it must be pretty severe.”

New halfback Lachlan Lam sustained a suspected syndesmosis injury and could be out for a month, prompting an immediate recall for dropped Kyle Flanagan.

And then came the injury that will rock the Roosters. Club favourite, Mitch Aubusson came off with a suspected broken left wrist and did not return.

Playing his 301st NRL game, Aubusson was just one match from equalling the club record of 302 matches, set by the great Anthony Minichiello. And with this being his final season before retirement, the Roosters are desperately hoping Aubusson can make it back again.

“I don’t really want to think about that right now. It was a tough footy night,” Robinson said.

The Roosters casualty ward already includes Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Brett Morris, Angus Crichton, Daniel Tupou, Boyd Cordner, Victor Radley, Sam Verrills and Billy Smith.

“It was like a MASH unit out there tonight,” said Storm coach Craig Bellamy. “You’ve got to feel for the Roosters, Luke looks pretty serious. I’m not sure whether there’s too much fatigue in our game.”

Robinson squashed any suggestion he may send an SOS for Sonny Bill Williams to help overcome the injuries.

Williams emerged from his two-week quarantine on Thursday and would be available for Saturday’s match against Wests Tigers Leichhardt Oval. Robinson though stated Williams would need at least three weeks to acclimatise to training, playing style and teammates.

Williams clearly be underdone but could be used sparingly off the bench, adding much needed class, confidence and power. Asked would he rush SBW back, Robinson: “No, not at all. No one get excited about next week.”
