The groom wore a white tuxedo jacket, with slicked-back hair and Aviator sunglasses as he channelled Leonardo DiCaprio in The Great Gatsby.
The Sydney Roosters fullback was with best man and fellow footballer Brett Finch and groomsmen Luke Ricketson, Simon Anderson and Martin Colacicco.
Biviano, who was attended by five bridesmaids in mermaid-style gowns, wore a specially created J'Aton gown and towering Christian Louboutin heels.
"It's all good mate, it's all good," Minichiello told The Sunday Telegraph as he turned up the landmark cathedral in a Bentley.
The ceremony was scheduled for 2pm, but the bride arrived fashionably late in a Rolls-Royce AT 2.35pm.
"Terry is always late but she was told she couldn't be too late because the wedding wouldn't have gone ahead as there are lots of other weddings here today," said one guest.
Among the throng of high-profile guests were supermodel Kristy Hinze Leo Sayer, and Channel Nine boss David Gyngell and his presenter wife Leila McKinnon.
Other guests included Jodi Gordon and her rugby league star fiance Braith Anasta and Minichiello's footballer mates including Mark Gasnier, Michael Crocker and Andrew Johns.
Biviano and Minichiello spared no expense, draping every pew with gorgeous arrangements of white roses and ivy.
Biviano wept as she pledged her love for her new husband for "all the days of my life".
The couple opted for a traditional hour-long service, departing the church to the classic Mendelssohn's Wedding March.
In the order of service booklet, the couple thanked their family and friends for "helping make our dream day come true".
"Each of you hold a special place in our hearts and we are very blessed to have your love and support," the couple wrote.
On the eve of her wedding, Biviano, who had previously dated actor Alex Dimitriades, is understood to have been surrounded by family and friends telling The Sunday Telegraph: "I'm relaxed".
The high-profile pair announced their engagement in December 2010 after five years together when Minichiello presented his future wife with a five-carat diamond ring.
The reception was held at luxury Darling Point mansion, Swifts. with the couple expected to depart on a five-star romantic honeymoon to the Maldives.
