Since 2013 ,there are 5 players on our roster that have been there 8 seasons now.,toups,Jared,jake,boyd and aubo
who have we lost in that time of value,mini,maloney, lattrell,sonny bill,pearce,fergerson, matto, cronk,kenny dowel, sheck,moa,guerra ,napa plus others

Saying half a dozen clubs would have paid $200K-$250K for four games shows how much of a FDC he is. He has said many times if he ever played in NRL again it would be only for the Roosters. What would an extra $50K do for him playing for a team unlikely to make the Top 8 let alone be a contender when he is earning $10M.

Amongst other things he was insinuating our SBW deal was a rort.

That other clubs were robbed of the opportunity to compete with the Roosters for his signature because they didn't understand how his contract and payments could be structured and that it was a joke that the Roosters could secure his services for $150 000 and other clubs should have had the opportunity to outbid us..

He failed to acknowledge that Sonny's pro rata contract value would be in the vicinity of $900 000. That any club, at any time could have picked up the phone and commenced negotiations with Sonny. Also, that any club could have discussed his possible signing and its feasibility with the NRL at any time following the demise of the Wolfpack. He also didn't think it worthy to mention that SBW only wanted to play with us.

It was a massive beat up even by his standards. Absolute drivel that the majority of opposition fans will eat up.

Yep exactly... good list of players there. Robbo's biggest value is that he'll back you and train you up if you're willing to buy into our culture.

What I'm most proud of is that our players are EVERYWHERE! There are now sooooo many players who have come through our systems and then taken $$$ contracts elsewhere.

IMO a large part of our squad (key players) would be on jack shyte. From our top squad think...

- Verrills
- Sitili
- Lam
- Hall
- Morris Brothers
- Butcher
- Collins
- Maubs

There's 10 people who've played top notch footy for our 1sts this season, most of whom would be on either minimum wage or a little bit more.

IMO we've hit a sweet spot where most of our top 13 are on somewhere between $250k and $600k. Teddy's our $1 million man and he's the best player in the game (2 years in a row).

Just about every other team I can think of is paying more than $1m for somebody who has less impact than Teddy. Now that's easy to say because we've got THE teddy. However, IMO clubs need to look in the mirror rather than calling us cheats. I mean when you are fukking 10th on the ladder after disruptively poaching another team's coach, poaching a centre who we developed so you can pay $$$ to use him at FB (when you already have 2 specialist FBs and 2 rep centres), you've 'medically retired' your two best players (only for one to start playing again in the UK) and you're trying to force the NRL to let you use a 17 y/o in your 1st by causing a media circus... well fark me! You're either fukking stupid (and think we are the cheats) or you're just stirring up bullshyte.

Kenty has lost his marbles with his mathematical calculations. He is saying we are paying $150k for 4 rounds and that pro-rata that should equate to $900k of salary cap for 24 rounds. The reality is SBW is already contracted to us and about to commence training, and we are just past the halfway mark of the season.

I’m surprised why some commentators keep saying that they would have preferred Sonny to have gone to the warriors because they need talent and direction or whatever. It would be great if somebody there would tell these people to butt out because it’s not their life to be dictating another person where to go to play. James Hooper did say in this show that Sonny was only going to go to Roosters period! And I was looking at SBW Wiki page to check some info and it says it there that he wished that he could return to the roosters one day. I never knew he made that statement before.

On another note, I was checking SBWs birthdate on wiki and it says his birthday is on the 3rd August, meanwhile that kid Suaaliis is on the 1st and wouldn’t it be hilarious if Sonny was also recruited to give this kid a birthday call and ask him to sign with the Champions instead of the Chumps? The furore from Redfern would be seismic!!
