  • Roosters unconfirmed trial dates/venues for Feb 2012.

    From what i've heard.....

Feb 4 - Norths(Souffs feeder club) vs Jets. Venue Erkineville Oval i think.

Feb 11 - Bullscum vs Roosters. Venue Belmore Oval(will probably be billed as their return to Bemore Oval so expect a mass turnout of the blue & white army). Not sure what the maximum capacity is at Belmore after the significant upgrade but hopefully a decent amount of tickets will be set aside for us eager Roosters supporters itching to see our young guys.

Feb 18 - Wests Tigers vs Roosters. Venue Campbelltown Stadium. Very surprised & dissapointed this one's not being played at the usual SFS.

You can probably fill me in. How many years has the Federation Cup been played between the roosters & tigers?
Is it 4 years? Has it always been played at the SFS? I can only remember it being played their.

If it has always been played at the SFS I cant work out why it has been moved. Maybe it has something to do with the A League.
Personally it doesn't bother me if it is played out at Campbelltown.

I think it's because the tigers finally won it and are the holders. We held it for every year since it started, now they do. Just a guess. I'd play it at leichhardt

I thought it was at Leichardt?

I know our away game in the regular season is at Campbelltown.

Coming Home: Bulldogs confirm Belmore trial details
          Written by: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Media
          Jan 11, 2012 1:06pm

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will make their on-field return to Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday, 12 February when they take on the Sydney Roosters across all grades – the pinnacle of which will be a twilight First Grade trial fixture between the Bulldogs and Roosters National Rugby League squads.

Members will have the first opportunity to secure tickets to the day, which will feature all five Bulldogs sides – NRL, NSW Cup, Toyota Cup, SG Ball and Harold Matthews Cup – in action.

The NRL match, kicking off at 5pm, will be the second of three trials for the Bulldogs in the lead up to the 2012 season, following on from a 4 February clash with St George-Illawarra (venue TBC) and preceding a 18 February match up against the Canberra Raiders in Wagga Wagga.

Stretching back to the first Premiership match played at Belmore back in 1936, just one year after the Canterbury-Bankstown Club entered the competition, the ground has been considered the Club's spiritual home.

In October 2011, the Club moved its football and administration base back to the venue, opening the doors on a $9Million Centre of Excellence. Nearly two years in the making, the facility is the equal of any high performance sports centre in the country, featuring the best in training, administration and recovery facilities, all aimed at helping to prepare the Bulldogs in the best possible fashion for the rigours of the season ahead.

The First Grade fixture on February 12 will be the first time the Club's top squad will play on the ground since Premiership matches were moved to Sydney Olympic Park in 1998.

          Event details:

                I can hardly wait .
After being starved of footy for 5 months or so, we are served a smorgasbord in one day. Yippee.

Trial matches should be free IMO...

You still pay for your beer and hotdogs...

Iv'e always had a problem with that too.
A $5 token entry fee would be fairer considering it's only a trial and very prohibitive for a whole family to attend.
