He is 16 games into his career. Also had his dad coaching against him last night.
Roosters head coach Trent Robinson has been ‘happy with progression, but not surprised’ by his halfback Kyle Flanagan since arriving at the club ahead of the 2020 NRL season
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

If theres a positive to come out of Covid 19 is this kids improvement since the season restart. Poor bugger had the noose around his neck and many of us on here were ready to kick the board out from under him.

Lets hope he continues to grow because we are going to need a hell of a lot more out of him this season, especially now if we are going to 3peat.

He seems to be very calm and together. Already you get the impression he has a higher football IQ than Pearcey.

After last weeks game I thought this kid really has come along way and is really showing some maturity.
Against St Merge the pressure was on given his old man is looking to white any McGregor, I think he was off a little but still was ok. But for god sake just kick a bloody goal.

We are on a winner with him

I presume you meant 'white ant' Mary?

If so, I think you are spot on.

last year people were complaining about latrell's goal kicking too. flanno knocked one over from the sideline v brisbane and a lot of his other kicks have been in that difficult area where you should get most of them but they're not gimmes.

no doubt we'd all like him to be twice the amount of points scored than his nearest rival on the table, but being the top scorer by 20 pts isn't a disastrous place to start from.

Going exceptionally well for a 21yo. I am not convinced he will be here when dad allowed to coach, and Sam Walker ready for first grade. It seems more like a convenient short term relationship for both parties.

He plays his role well. Nothing flashy. Just wouldn’t want him kicking from the sideline to win us a game.
I supported him following the early losses and peeps here were looking for rope
He's doing what we've asked and is conservative to a pinch
He won't be expected to play beyond his current job description
It's gonna be up to the rest to cover and Robbo will develop a new plan

What I admire about Flanno in his early tenure is the desire to be a TEAM man....for now

Flanno's conversion rate is close to 80%.....I'll take that

The time off due to the Pandademic meant that Junior could visit Sensei Cronk on Dagobah. He looks like he has the most precious commodity needed on a football field, time.

                        Stats don't tell you everything.
What is his strike rate from the sideline?

Still needs to work on his passing, I've seen a few, even last night where it's the receiver doing a good job of catching an ordinary pass. He is playing tremendous footy though.

                          Chook.

Listened to Robbo on Rooster Radio yesterday, he made a number of interesting points. He said when they recruited Flanagan they looked at his skill set as something that would compliment what we already have. With Friend, Teddy and Keary we already have 3 experienced and dominant spine players. We didn't need another big personality to fill the role, we could go out and recruit somebody that we can basically mould into the Roosters style half back we needed so he's not surprised by his progress in anyway. He also said that the area that has impressed him has been his defence. He cited the Bulldogs game where Fatala-Mariner targeted him all night and Flanno kept chopping him down time after time. He attributed our slow start to the season to the affects of travelling to the UK for the WCC. He said we were doing everything we were supposed to do but we just lacked that extra bit of energy that we now have. Was a good lsiten, very enlightening

Not to mention his kicks this week had not strength behind them at all
