Is there any point of releasing odds this early let alone earlier then a couple of weeks before the first match?

generates interest I guess and publicity for the betting agency...

But u would b mad to bet this far out not knowing lineups etc

if i controlled betting odds for round 1, 2012: I would look @ Souffs and see a team without a fullback or halfback, who generally struggle...

Its difficult to justify why they would be clear favourites, better value for the punters that support us

It doesn't say much for our current state when we are underdogs to $ouff$, rather embarrassing. If we lose to $ouff$ round 1, imo we will be in for another very long painful season. We lost to $ouff$ round 1 in 2007 and we were well on our way to getting the spoon until Freddy stepped in and saved us from it. In 2009 we got flogged by $ouff$ round 1 and we did end up getting the spoon. We will want to be well and truly coming out all guns firing for round 1, we can't afford to ease into the season!
