The eels had plenty of ball in the second half with repeat sets and some 50/50 calls going there way. It was break neck speed high quality game with Jennings playing his best game in years , due to the fact Dylan Brown was providing great service down that left edge. I really don't think the eels could have played any better than that.

joey can defend. thankfully his errors last night didn't cost us the game. he'll dust himself off and come back bigger and better.

9pm is way past some people's bedtime.
Jennings can be a very tricky opponent.

Eels, .....draw, pass...draw, pass...draw, pass...then run at pace at gaps.
                  Then they do it again.
                  Who to tackle?
Not an easy gig being a centre in this new and faster comp.
                  Manu will adjust.

I'm not so sure. He's an arm grabber. His defence had improved a lot but definitely went back to old ways last night,in a big game.

He's done some amazing things in attack but defence is just as important. JMoz won't leak too many points.

Try to tackle them front on and you end up like Teddy.
Rush out to meet them and they step you.
No wonder players are reluctant to put their heads down.
                        Robbo will find a solution.

He needs an ear piece so his director of defense can advise him during games...Cronk

I wouldn’t read anything into it except Jennings is quite a handful and just a far more experienced player. He needs to learn from this and improve. But for what it’s worth I’m really very impressed with our performance especially in defense as we always have a hard time against teams who offload a lot so only 10 points Against is incredible.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt of an off night.
Wasn't he in doubt for the game with a hand injury ? ….so maybe a reason for the poor night !
Anyway one thing I've learned from Manu over the past few seasons ...he always seems to be a slow starter in the season, and is always at his best and killing it in the back half of the season.
