Interesting you say that....... i have had this theory that the roosters have been running most of their plays towards SKD's wing (the right of attack) with Anasta the main playmaker because they don't trust pearce for some reason.

Now pearce is to become our main playmaker, we will see alot more of the good he can do !!!!!

Mate the girls on this forum will hate me saying this..

        But..

Anasta's impotence in attack & body language when we are under the pump has been severley detrimental to Pearce's development..

I would be more inclined not to trust Anasta if i was coach..

I agree, i prefer anasta to lock, he is a great ball runner that can pass well and throw in a few kicks.

it seems freddy would base our attack to the right to go through the more experienced anasta. but the problem it makes us more predictable.

Everyone at the game last night was saying that we should have attacked the Cowboys right of defence, and they were right, when pearce had control, we did and we cut them badly !

Yep...what The Mack said,he knows our young talent..

I'm a Fitzy fan so i would let him play the year out though..We will need some experience out there..Plus it would send him out with dignity, which is very important for our clubs karma...

No Mack, it's too soon for some of those players.
There are enough young players in the team as it is now, more would be detrimental.

We must give them a shot, so that they can get a feel for First Grade in a no-pressure situation.

.This could be a blessing in disguise for the next few years.I would say that Symonds would be this weeks 5/8.I think the above players should be given a crack at in 1st grade at some stage of this season. The Cordner bros could develop into pretty good tough forwards.Andrew Clayton is a player that could develop over the next few years also.

                          Well Sa is 5/8

I would rather see Liam foran playing 5/8

Sa does not offer much in attack

Sydney Roosters halfback Mitchell Pearce says losing Braith Anasta for the rest of the NRL season is a major blow to his side's campaign.

Anasta had seven pins and one plate inserted into his broken leg during surgery last Sunday, compounding the club's six-game losing streak.

Kiwi Setaimata Sa will replace Anasta at five-eighth for Saturday's crucial clash with Cronulla at the Sydney Football Stadium.

"It's a massive blow, especially the way we're going it's a big kick in the guts," Pearce said on Tuesday.

                          "Braith is our best player.

"We have a lot of young guys now and I suppose that is the way the future is looking."

"It will be a good opportunity to try and build something.

The Roosters are last on the competition table, two wins behind 15th-placed Canberra and the Sharks.

To what campaign? Here's a reality check for the players, it is impossible for us to make the 8 already, deal with it.

Better move than moving Symonds to 5/8th. The kid is starting to feel comfortable on the fringe of the ruck. To move him around would just hinder his development.
