I heard you used to be a big fan of the Roosters, but you're not a player or ex player.

Imagine you were a hardcore fan of a team that you have never seen win the comp ... like say an Eels fan born in 87 or too young to remember 86 their last one. You have a son who ends up playing for the team you hate most (Say Manly/Canterbury here??)or really nay team but the Eels and they make the GF against the Eels with him in the team!!! Now that would suck!!
      How could you enjoy that!!!!
I remember Daniel Anderson and his family (parents) were all Roosters tragics when he coached the 2002 Warriors in the GF against us... they hadn't seen the chooks win a GF since 75 and it was their sons first GF as coach and now had too choose their loyalties! Was a good side story to the game!

He didn't show it when he played us. Seemed to relish tearing us a new one.

As a player it be great to play for the team you grew up supporting.
When I was a kid all I wanted was to play for the Roosters but lack of talent got in the way, but if I had that talent and the Roosters offered me $300,000 a year and Penrith or someone else offered me $600,000 as much as I love the Roosters I would be signing with the Panthers. 95% of people who say they wouldn't are lying to themselves.
Unfortunately is just a job these days and you got to go where the money is, $100,000 difference yeah you probably stay but not for several 100,000 a year.

                    Agree.

Take Luke Keary - born in Ipswich and grew up idolising the Langers, Walters and Broncos. Came down to Sydney as a young kid and played for the Hills Bulls and so is strictly a Parra junior. Also played for Aust schoolboys RU. Gives more than a 100% playing for us each time. Wouldn't swap him for anyone, even if they grew up loving the Roosters.

I hear on the grapevine that Gorden Tallis and Scott Sattler are pretty big Rooster fans.
                      MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

I know Bennett has always wanted to coach us and Crowe always wanted to own us.
