What an effort - future star that will keep getting better each week which is scary. Will be one of the games best forwards if he keeps this up.

lets get that third ring for jmorris and Collins

Usually I'll turn this kinda BS off and be like 'what a joke - I feel sorry for them'. LOL BRISBANE IN BRISBANE THOUGH?!?!? This is one for the history books that we'll look back at when we're having a rough patch in ~30 years time and be like 'faaaark they were the fukking Harlem Globetrotters!!!! Champagne footy!!!'

That was a dog move. However, IMO Lodge was their only player who showed up with some passion tonight.
Yes I get what Lodge was trying to do, change the momentum of the game

The Nine commentators wanted to boof him. In particular Fatty. Reckons he’s a chance at origin this year. Fatty also reckons JWH is the “best in the business”. And Alexander reckons SST is the games best prop. Blessed!

I usually don’t care what these idiots think unless of course it’s in our favour.

Hate Lodge but love that he tried to pump up his team. Whoever doesn’t like that than go and watch some ballet or soccer.

Yeah needs to re-grow the mullet or maybe a neck beard, the Yak always played better with a neck beard.

              Chook.

What a game, we can keep JWH in cotton wall.
You’re completely incorrect on Cronk and Teddy. Never said anything about them, on the contrary. Think you may have the wrong guy mate.

Re: Collins. He had an absolutely colossal game and deserves the plaudits. However you must agree this has come out of the blue. Let’s hope it’s not a Napa vs Souths moment and that he kicks on from here.

I love Collins. I think he has has been slow to develop but around the back end of last season he started to hit his straps. I am a big fan.

Lindsays improvement under Robbo has been exceptional , Robbo is such a mentor along with Coops , Fitzy and the rest of the coaching staff ,. The real scary thing is he will keep improving along with Rad. ,Butcher , Sam and the other young blokes coming though the future remains bright

I think we often expect too much, too soon of young NRL players. Especially halves and forwards.

Freddy spoke about this the other day. The average age of an NFL draftee is roughly 22 years. So they're not even competing against the big boys until they're in their early 20s.

In contrast in the NRL we have this perception that if you aren't tearing it up at 20/21 then you've been somewhat of a slow developer.

SBW, Taumalolo and Haas are the very rare exception, not the rule. As for halves I can't think of any 21 year olds or younger that were world beaters.

Back to Freddy, he suggested that players should be coming into the NRL later but due to modern science, also playing longer.

So Collins hitting hit straps at 24 can still have a tremendous 10 year NRL career.

I will also say that what these young players need more than anything is great coaching. Who knows what would have become of Collins had he spent the last few years under a gronk like Mary McGregor. He may well have ruined his career.

That's why these kids like Collins, Sitili and Poasa re-sign for less at the Roosters into their early 20s than take more money to go play for the likes of Mary, Kearney and Dean Pay.

They know they'll have a much better chance of becoming high quality first graders and increased prospects of a longer career under a great coach they can trust.

Robbo really seems to be the master of identifying talent/potential and then providing the necessary mentoring, coaching and support.

Very true. Too bad Latrell did not realize how good he had it at the Roosters. There is no one else like Robbo.

I was bitterly disappointed there was no Hall & Oates reference from them.
