    Good point.
With repeated ‘six agains’ for infringements, when do you get a warning about a possible sin bin? Does the ref stop the game to inform captain or repeat offender? Or is it repeat, repeat.. marching orders?
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

2 tries off it pretty quick.
This is the only problem we may encounter .We have the best online defence in the comp but Souffs will milk the life of it its already hard enough that they will be given triple penalties gainst us but instead it will be this 6 again.
But hey Bansai we won a GF on 6 again. (not..lol)It was 6 again for us and rightly so .

This rule sucks (as do most changes they've made in the last 5 years!) The ref was all too keen to use it last night for next to no reason and led to Parra's first try. You think this rule won't hurt us? How many times have ref been all too keen to penalise us? The players were exhausted too. So many people are obsessed with speeding up the game. HOW FRIGGIN' FAST DO YOU WANT IT?? IT'S NOT TOUCH!

We have one of the best players in the game to exploit this. Teddy. Always following the ball. Plus we are the best defensive side. Don’t stress.

The thing about last nights gsme I liked was that the players were the star of the show. Loved the quickness of the decision making with the one ref. There was much less emphasis on the ref , less pantomime, theatre and stoppages to listen to bunkers etc. The ref felt more seamless and unobtrusive out there how it should be.

I agree 100% - no bullshit; just play the game - best team won.

The new rule won't suit Jarrod on past form. I do like the crowd murmur sound effects though. Possibly a "cut out" crowd could complete the picture Think of the possibilities with that - we could have 13 with a Souffs supporter in a strangle hold, Mickie wiv two flags waiving them alternatively, depending on who scores, BB sitting on Allan's lap, looking lovingly into his eyes, caught by the kiss cam and, predictably, ol' Jax sitting proudly next to Scomo both in Sharkie outfits, arms raised to heaven.

                    V'Landy's madness.
It doesn't have a cumulative effect, there were no 18 tackle sets. It's the same as penalties have always worked the tackle count is reset regardlss of whether the penalty was earnt on tackle 1 or tackle 5.

Plenty of tries are scored on the back of penalties, lets not pretend this was an anomoly. The only difference is the game didn't stop, wait 30 seconds for someone to kick the ball into the stands and then the game restarted.

It's quite common for 2 tries to be scored on the back of penalties in a game. That's not new.

Can’t believe the negativity and the no confidence shown in our team!!! Seriously listen to yourselves. Who said we’ll be hammered by the new rules? Who said we can’t handle it? We have one of the most mobile pack in the comp, and last year people were saying we lack size in our pack and need big boppers, now same people saying we will be disadvantaged , fark me we are a confused lot.
if our players play well, they will win. The one ref, the 6 again rule, and the no home ground will not cost us the game. However if we infringe and miss tackles and don’t ground the ball over the line etc etc etc is what will cost us a win.

And we could have a cut-out of you with a hotdog filled thermos in one hand, and Adam Bandt sitting on the other.

The broadcasters set the tone, they want more tries because they mean more ad breaks. VPL is just giving them what they want in return for bucketloads of much needed cash

                                yup

Some people are already clutching at excuses... our team isnt dealing with any more changes than any other team in the comp... sure we might have the refs make more calls against us but thats something we have dealt with for years... if we are the best team we will win.. stop making excuses.
