    Two good teams and rivals.

What better way to ignite your season than with two statement wins.
We could generate a lot of momentum

Or we could find ourselves behind the eight ball

    I'm hoping for the former

Just never feel super confident against Manly or Donkeys when it's an away game no matter who they throw up against us. Both clubs tend to trouble us more than the others. Even more so than our up to recent bogey team the Sharks, Panthers or Melba.
We are more Melba's bogey team.

They seem to panic whenever they play us and make uncharacteristic mistakes. I think we are messing with Bellyache's head.

No doubt they will both be hard games , as will Manly , Storm and a few more .Brisbane have lost a few top players and the vermin will turn on themselves .

But, maybe people with campervans could be allowed in.

Agree, though we don't have Cooper this year.......

Just having him on the park in the big games against teams like the Storm, you just felt you could overcome anything the opposition could throw at us. Even when he did not make a huge physical contribution on the field, I believed he gave our team a lot of self-belief and made our team feel they were bullet proof....

His precision game in attack with his kicking, organisation and short passing game was highly praised. He was also probably the best defensive half I have ever seen, not actually his tackling prowess which was excellent (Toovey and johns technically were better) but the way he organised the defense to shut down opposition attacking raids and his ability to read what was happening quickly and implement Robbos and prior Bellyache's defensive strategies at crucial parts of a game. For a footballer who started off playing RL league on the wing and in the centres, he really nailed down how to play as a half who may not have had the natural talent of a Johns, Stuart, Langer or Thurston.

He will be a huge loss for us this year unless Keary (at 6) and Friend (at 9) really step it up week in and week out as young Flanno is still very raw........

A good start won't be easy for the chooks, it's going to take time with no guarantee for our halves to click. If it fails then the next combo heads time too. Cooper Cronk is a massive loss as he was a massive gain

Living in Brisbane, I was so happy to find out that the 4rd was to play the broncos here and was ready to get a ticket for the game when it dawned on me that there won’t be any crowds!

at least now the local fans won’t have any influence over the game and we might win this one, for a change!

Broncos and Souffs eh? These games are two good tests that the boys can win. These two games will hope with momentum and hopefully they can rebound from the Riff and Manly games!

tough start to year, jeez please don't let us be 0 4, I don't think we will be but I was also confident we'd beat Penrith. oh well bring it on, if we're good enough well do it .

It is a tough resumption, sure, but it is going to make us kick into gear. We can no longer be complacent or start slowly. It will be a test, absolutely, but I think we are up for the challenge. Well, I certainly hope that we are anyway.

is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

we were always going to have to play these teams so it's no real issue. if we lose both games we can still go on and win a lot more later. the real issue is which teams you play twice. but like they say, no easy games in the nrl - we don't always beat the titans.

The game against Souffs is easier compared to the Broncos. The majority of their firepower comes from their backline that wasn't firing in the first few games and their forward pack lacks quality. They will fire up although the Roosters should have too much quality to win that game.

Broncos on the other hand will be tough. Their forward pack is very strong and the likes of Issako and Staggs being exciting young backs backing them up. The game against Souffs should hopefully provide momentum that should propel the boys through the Broncos in a tight, back and forth.

If we could still win despite everything stacked up against us, it would only make it sweeter.
