1982, that was the year we scored the best team try ever in the history of the game. 16 sets of hands touched the ball on a glorious day at the Sports Ground where we thumped eventual grand finalists Manly 40-2

Be great if you could post images of the player cards, when time allows, Zinga

Zinga would need to become a paid up member of the site to post images. Alternatively he can attach a link to another site that allows him to upload. Or we could just imagine what they look like.
        ..it’ll be interesting to see

That's a real trip down memory lane. Fantastic.
Yep, the gum was great too, although it sometimes stuck to the front card too tight. Annoying if it was an Easts player, especially Russell Fairfax who was as rare as Rooster's teeth.

One of the best days of my then young life, was the day I bought two packets of cards and got a Russell in each pack! Kept one and swapped the other for 20 cards

1982 was a couple of years before my time, but it is good to view the players from that Easts side nonetheless. Thank you for sending through the link Zac.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
