Hated Gallen when he played for the Sharks but I think he is pretty good in the media.

Calls a spade a spade and tipped us to win the comp last year even when he was playing for the Guppies. I think he was asked who was the team that would win it apart from his Sharks....

Sorry Zinga, I also have to respectfully disagree with you mate.

I think Gal is a breath of fresh air of sorts, speaks his mind, seems to be a straight shooter and doesn't take a backward step. You don't have to love the bloke, but respect his standpoint and views on the game.

Ben Ikin is up there also, going on about cancelling the season bla bla bla and how it has to happen to avoid a stop/start season. And as predicted he had to ask Paul Kent about Wayne Bennett and the rumours about him coaching at St Merge next year. Ask him yourself he is your Father-in-law!!

Ben Ikin is a dangerous dick. He is part of a small group that are pushing stupid rule changes onto junior RL esp Minis and Mods.

I have often wondered if he actually was a Roosters fan over the last couple of years he has really enjoyed watching us bash Melbourne in the finals, his hate for Queensland is so blatant and he loves it wears it as a badge of honor. I loved him in origin and I think he’s been good in the media. He could be a royal pain in the ass when he played for the guppies.

Gallen reveals secret 'villain' arrangement he had with the NRL

Retiring NRL great Paul Gallen has revealed a back-room agreement he had with the NRL to play the villain during Origin series past, in order to promote the games and boost sales for games played at neutral venues (Melbourne).
According to Nine NRL reporter Danny Weidler, the Sharks captain was given a secret financial incentive by the NRL in order to play 'the bad guy'.

Gallen told Nine News he played his role perfectly. "It was part and parcel of where the Origin series was at," Gallen said.

well it goes to show you, While I don't dislike Gasnier I found his commentary cliched, trite and irrelevant. It was like he was not actually watching . But he was still better than Tallis and co

Outside of the chooks I loved watching Gaz play (was my fav) he had unbelievable footwork, balance, speed and a great flick pass agree with everyone so much more dead wood below him never was a great analyst/comentator.
