We back! 28th of May. Can't come quicker - come on Easts!

I highly doubt it will come to pass. That said, if it does then I hope nobody gets infected.

I can’t wait for the footy to be back. There’s nothing like watching a Roosters game on the weekends.

Can't see it happening, but hope it does. Hope the boys come out firing, after losing our first 2 and now being a shortened season there is no time to 'work' into the season

          Bravo NRL!

Hopefully we see some other aspects of life gradually returning from May...the economy (and it's people) need it.

Gee whiz yes I’m glad the season is back on however we only have 13 games hmm I would have rather just suspend the season start over next year. We need to get stuck in ASAP. So do we kick off vs The Shit Stain? Or what would have been the May 28th game on the original fixture?

I will be very pleased and happy if it starts up again, as long as it actually comes to pass. Unfortunately, things can change in six or seven weeks, but let's hope not.

It will be very interesting to see how the NRL creates and manages the playing bubbles - ANZ and Penrith? I heard that the Sydney club players will be able to sleep in their own beds. I hope that this can be properly policed. You would hate to go to all of this trouble for a player to then test positive. It is a big risk, but I won't pretend that I won't be looking forward to the prospect of watching live footy once again. Bring it on and, of course, go Easts!

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Can’t wait to see how they tackle from 1.5 metres apart.

With 13 games it looks like everyone gets to play each other once. Sucked in Parra we all get to play Titans and Dogs and get the 4 points.

                    No bubbles now.
Players going home to their families instead.
I liked the bubbles idea better, 100% safe.
                    Absolute quarantine protects absolutely.

Has anyone considered the inevitable NRL scandal bonanza putting NRL players in a bubble would result in? DISASTER AWAITS

WTF we agree again??? Here i was thinking the only thing we had in common was our love of the Roosters- although nothing really matters besides that!

Yeah a quarantine bubble is the go. How can we trust the players to social distance and follow protocols without any supervision when we cant even trust them to visit a high school?

It might work. I don't like the idea of players moving around the country in contact with people who are moving around the country/society though.
I like 'absolutes'. Absolute quarantining is the only safe way.
And what's with all the bro hugging in the sheds before matches, still? And at the end of games, still. All the hand shaking, still.
Climbing all over each other when tries are scored, still.

All the players might do everything correctly, everything asked of them...All it can take for a person to become infected is to touch the top of the hand sanitizer bottle pump used by others, not sanitize every bit of the virus off their hands, then touch their face/mouth/eyes.
or touch the shopping trolley handles, lift buttons with their fingers...there's a list of 40 things not to touch with fingers/hands.
A jogger passes by within 1.5m, puffing and panting, all that moist and possibly virus-laden air being exhaled. Ew!
Wear gloves, the virus gets on the gloves...they're some protection though.

Starting the season again is worth a try...if it doesn't work at least it was given a go.

So they are saying 15 games each. With the 2 losses and 13 to play I say Easts need to win atleast 10 games for a top 4 spot????
