  • 2019 grand final

im getting really tired of some people keep flying the flag that latrell won us the 2019 grand final he was a part of that play but any decent player
could of done that flick pass but more importantly it was the defence that set the win up plz enough took 17 players to win it

Cronk said it himself, “watching the game back for the first time, seeing what latrell did makes it even more special, you can practice for those moments in training, but to execute it with that much pressure, is special”

let’s not kid ourselves, not everyone could of beat there man and executed that pass.

The other understated key play late in the game was the power play from Boyd Cordner leaving the defender on the ground. No Marker. This created all the space for the next play.

Keary going big side but turning back short into the gap behind the ruck and holding the two inside defender up

Latrell's flick pass in a two on one.

and finally the relentless push up support and game awareness from Tedesco.

Brilliant skills from Latrell but it was a team that had been running these short side raids all season that gave it is timing and execution.

and I loved the way Toops really ran onto the ball, drew the fullback and put the ball on Teddy's chest.

L's pass was special and the whole try was a thing of beauty.

No denying Latrell's clutch play to score the try.

But JMoz was the hero in my books.

Keeping them scoreless for 10 mins against 12 men won us that game.

Latrell, Tupou and Tedesco won us the GF.

BJ Leilua also assisted by butchering a certain try and being outta position. Our investment in him came good in the end

What of it though? I love the 2018 and 2019 Roosters squads. Doesn't mean I have to be a fan of the 2020 Souffs squad or their FB. TBH I'm pretty indifferent to them and will not be watching their games/form this season unless they are playing against Easts. Only team I hive a shyte about is Easts, funnily enough...

Jmoz may have been in the stands so not quite sure if he had much to do with the try

Hahahaha. Spirit of 66 is already having trouble telling the difference hehehe, I do agree with him though BMOZ should have been CCM winner for sure 4 or 5 of the highest pressure kicks you will ever see a couple of them at a standstill and completely isolated and he took them all he saved many try scoring opportunities it was heroic.

In last night's game, when back at Centre, Latrell broke the line but unhappily passed to no one. It was trademark, somewhat reminiscent of the GF and, no, not all Centres can consistently do that sort thing. Professional as he may be, I doubt that the Morris can and it will be something new for him if he does do it (bust the defence)on a regular basis It's certainly no trademark of his. Last week the Chooks scored twice from kicks but, otherwise hardly looked like busting an enthusiastic Penrith out wide. Things aren't looking too good for Latrell at the moment but there are very few who can do what he can (could) on his day.
