Literally if keary scores the game is different. Radley, Keary and Friend all are having terribly slow starts.

That games on Keary unfortunately, we definitely miss Boyd’s toughness out there.
for those that like the stat that in every year we have won a premiership we lose the first game, well, every time we have started a season 0-2, we have missed the 8.

Great Manly defense, deserved to win. Their attack and offloads put us to shame. All our best players in bad form.lack of match practice is showing. We are much better than this. Keary lost the match single handedly by being so casual with the put down. A try by any other team. Tedesco another shocker. So many dropped balls by many. Toups was our best and only good player. Flanagan - lets try someone else he’s just not 1st grade material yet.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

Our defence was excellent tonight and our yardage sets were extremely impressive. From about the 15th minute of that game we were in complete control of where that game was being played.
You don’t do that against Manly unless you’re A) a top class side and; B) Really putting in.
Our organisation in attack was just absolutely horrendous. We saw similar when Cronk came into the side 2 years ago, now Flanagan is no Cronk and I don’t know if he will turn out to be the right option. He had an absolute shocker tonight but there is a lot of work required on our attack.
Manly are a top 4 side and we just absolutely dominated them in every single facet of the game.
I get it we’re all pissed that we lost but take the emotion out of it, attitude wasn’t the issue tonight there’s some technical parts of the game we need to go back and get right.

the halves need time to gel.
I don’t expect the Roosters to be in the top 4 this year but in saying that the season will be suspended within a couple of weeks.

Thought the so called strip ball dissalowed try shouldve been given.
Im still dumfounded when a player is facing his own goal line flicks or drops the ball out the back and its still called a knock on in the case of our othre dissalowed try..if he drops it flat sideways and not forward they call play on ..I must be dumb in knoledge in the rules .
Manly threw about 30 forward passes.
No penalties to us for manly lying in the play the ball area in the first half.
We were way better than the score shows
A bit clumsy and a bit unlucky,
Flanagon has a long way to go but you can see he has the goods to be a successfull half.
We are stil rusty but I predict we beat Souffs by 30 next week.
Dont forget we still have a few players out.
Slightly dissapointed but a case of stiff shit .
Still dont thing
k the NRL will see the season out anyway. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

We wont make the top 4 with a rookie half who is as green as and a fair bit off the pace of fg atm.....
Manly only had a few chances and took them, whereas all our attack stems from Keary and Teddy, shut them down and we look like the Dragons or the Bulldogs...
Gee I hope will improve, on the first games as we have been rubbish in attacking areas.
Gussy was close to our best tonight...Originally posted by Bondi Boy
Pathetic!
What a rabble we are.
Oh well, maybe next year

We probably didn't deserve to win despite the bombed tries and close calls.
Thought our best were Crichton and Collins, and credit to Teddy for busting a butt to get us moving.
Not uncommon for us early in the season. As long as we still have the hunger, we can always recover. Flanagan a concern but don't want to sack someone after two games.
TIT.

I agree attitude and effort wasn’t the problem. Gelling, lack of match fitness and poor execution is the problem but that takes time to fix. Defense was good.poor Ball handling by Tedesvo let them get that field goal. Our top players are in bad form.hopefully they will come back. We are better than this just need some tweaking here and there.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)
