I tip the Broncos. They've signed a new coach + a heap of superstars whereas we've lost Latrell, Tetevano and Smith [injury]. Also, they get to play every Friday night in front of a local crowd whereas we're all over the shop with a way more inconvenient schedule.
We'll go in as definite underdogs and I expect Brisbane to finish top 4.

1. Isaako
6. Milford
7. Croft
9. McCullogh/Turpin
vs
Coach: Robbo
1. Tedesco
6. Keary
7. Flanagan
9. Friend/Verrills
Yeah nah, we leave them for dead.
They lost 58 nil in the finals to an Eels team that lost 32 nil a week later.
We're MILES ahead of them.

So yes, we absolutely can win the title again.
However it would be equally foolish to fail to realise that forces other than "best team on paper" will be our greatest challenge.
I.e. Can we muster the desire once more to claim another title when it took every Herculean ounce of mental and physical strength to go b2b? Will a big rival have an awesome injury free run and find an extra 10% vs us in a big finals game? Will we have significant injuries at the wrong time?
You need a degree of luck to win any title. And that required luck only compounds imo as you seek to go b2b and then claim a 3peat. Especially in the modern NRL era where the margins are so damn small due to the salary cap and high degree of professionalism involved.
So imo we absolutely can win the 3peat if the stars align again. I believe this because I think we won our first title and then b2b without the stars fully aligning. We had major hurdles in 2018 and 2019. For one we had no easy games (e.g. Knights Prelim in 2013) and had to beat every other top 4 team on both occasions. We also had key suspensions in both Prelims (Latrell and JWH) and key injuries across both seasons and finals series (even Aubo going down after 10 min in the GF was a huge somewhat forgotten blow).
So we'll need the stars to truly align to go the 3peat imo. There's less margin for error on that front given our roster isn't as good.
As such I don't think we will win the comp again. It's not that we aren't good enough, it's just purely a numbers game: as in it's statistically unlikely that everything we need to go our way will do so once more.
Nevertheless, East to Win. So long as Souffs don't win I feel like we're freerolling in 2020 after going b2b.
Can it be done? yes if what is high lighted happens
Do I think they can do it? yes if what is high lighted happen
Do I think what has been high lighted will happen? No but I would love to be proven wrong.

We will cop suspensions, bad "no-trys", bunker turn overs, etc.
Throw in rep footy and injuries as well......
Without the Cronk and Lats, I just don't think we have the depth to win it this year.

This is why Doughie is a good option , he may be able to fill in for Luke if injured or Rep duties , he can fill in for Teddy for same reasons & can play at centre , seems to make sense
