After having a legend in Cronk in the side for the past two years with all the NRL, State and International experience that came with him I think I will cut Flanagan alot of slack atleast for the first half of the season to come to grips with the combinations and whats expected of him.

Remember that Cooper and Luke took some time to gel and get to know each other's game, and look at how that turned out!

We need to give Kyle/Lachlan and Luke time as well for the exact same reason. I think Kyle has the basis to be a very good footy player. Under the correct guidance, we should definitely see an improvement. He has already commented that our training regime is stricter than that at the Sharks, and I think he will respond accordingly.

It is a similar story if we happen to snare Xerri. His attack is great, but defense probably not so hot at the moment, but I reckon Fitzy and company will be able to work on that, in time.

Plenty to be optimistic about, I feel.
        MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Haha brilliant (although you need to check your first line)!

          How about:

          A wanker's offspring
          Springs off Cooper Cronk's shoulders
          Into destiny
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

I think we need to be patient with Flanagan. Trust in Trent, the bloke knows what is up.

                hard working....not a natural
Cronk was not a natural either and he did quite ok.

That's not how I would describe old man Flanno Mickie. He comes across as angry and surly.

I liked what I saw of Flanagan when he was playing in the halves with Townsend at the Sharks. He looks like his got a cool head on his shoulders and can guide a team around the park.
Hoping he can stand up defensively in that crucial right edge position and probably needs a couple of off season's to build his body up to the rigours of NRL .

                          How about a Limerick instead

There was a young Rooster named Kyle
Who beat his opposition by a mile
He stepped them with ease, as they tackled his breeze
And he did it all with a smile
