I wouldn't be too down on our chances. Losing Cronk and Latrell just makes it a more level playing field. The players we have are champions (twice over) and they aren't going to give it up without a fight.
A 3peat would be a sweeter victory for the likes of JWH and Friend IMO because it will mean they have matured and not relied on Cronk to organize things.

I have had an initial attempt at the top eight this season. There is no science to it, just my initial thoughts. Here it goes:

1. Raiders
2. Eels
3. Cowboys
4. Roosters
5. Manly
6. Storm
7. Panthers
8. Broncos (with the Rabbits or Sharks coming close to pipping them for eighth)

Who knows what could happen after that. Hopefully, we will be thereabouts again and can mount an assault on the three peat. Reactions welcome.

id swap rabbits and sharks for panthers and cowboys but no science behind it ...panthers ....cleary a myth, forward lacks some punch bar that fisher harris ( gun player imo ) , edwards has the odd shocker in him by that shocking enough to lose a game by himself, cowboys ...forward pack has questions , also outside backs bar holmes lack potency, also if morgan has an average season again who creates the points ? of course i could be wrong about all of the above .

After exhaustive consultation with superior intellects at the Tele and 2GB, I, herewith, present my 2020 predictions:

• After failing to get any of the mates to tender to build the new stadium for less than 10 times the original estimate, our Glad will sell off the precinct in 3 parts. The eastern section will go to Jamie Packer for a new casino to replace the Barangaroo development since sold as billion dollar apartments. Further south on Driver Avenue, as a gesture to conservation and green space, the old Sports Ground will rise again. The ground will retain the much missed East/West configuration but, otherwise, will be an exact replica of Henson Park including the velodrome and the King George V Stand. “Smoko” Morrison will declare the almost total absence of comfortable seating a master stroke. “This is all about the kids, they love the hill” he will assert, “How good is Ostraya?”
• Mickie Lane will fire off scores of posts that will all amount to all of his Christmases having come at once. Henson back and ya don’t have to cross Anzac Parade!
• Puzzled at first by the announcement, Bondi Boy and Jax FC will soon be mollified by Allan Jones’ assurances that the Big End has signed off on it all and he will also produce figures and “facts” for BB to disseminate on the fan website.
• One of those facts will, at last, reveal that the multi million bridge to nowhere is, in truth, an essential link between the North Shore and the Allan Jones Rugby Grand Slam museum. Big Sam will go down of course, but thousands who supported the Super Profits tax will cheer him along Anzac Parade all the way to Matraville.
