Agreed with Kingbilly... he was punted from the world cup squad because of his big head. Argue that was wrong all your life, but even with him Ireland and the ABs would have beaten us IMO.

From what I've heard he takes control of training, tells the coach to shut up and makes a lot of funny but inappropriate comments. Not questioning his skills, but he's not what the Roosters want/need. Also I doubt he's interested granted he can get $1 Mil+ a season playing union.

See if I was a player out of work punching with you, I'd also tell you I was going to be a rooster.
      Lol

Don't think his French rugby club will be too happy.

Always been overated and always been a problem off the field for his coach.

Giteau may be your mate, but he could not run rings about John Sutton, he was shocking the in the Super 15 this past season
          Harsh but fair.

I thought his defence was OK, and there was a period where he played very well, but recently he has been his atrocious - and his attitude has always been shocking.

Disregarding the attitude, he suffered from Eddie Jones syndrome - had he played his career under a guy like Deans, things could have been different.

He would be an awful, awful signature for our club.

sounds good to me. the defensive criticisms make sense but i can see giteau as a league fullback tbh. he has the speed, skill and running game and his build looks best suited to fullback. that at least may be the best way to ease him back into league. definitely prefer him to cooper

              He is sh!t

overrated, over promoted, one of my mates manages him for James Erskine at SEL.

he is all about matt Giteau, I have had meals with him before too, one of the biggest tight ar ses the world has ever seen, sits at bars and restaurants waiting for everyone else to pay for everything.

he was a whiz kid when he played outside Gregan and Larkham and inside Roff Mortlock and Andrew Walker.

When they asked him to step up all he did was wear a 10 shirt and lose the Wallabies matches, by the end of his career he was so deep in the pocket and running sideways so much that Robbie had no choice but to drop him so as not to totally humiliate a vaguely creative backline.

He also has really bad Big Willie Style syndrome, everything is everyone elses fault never once takes responsibility for anything, very similar to Carnage in that respect. When the Wallabies lost to Ireland in RWC 11 he sent a text that simply said "je suis content" so he is a great team man too.

Thankfully he is contracted to some outfit in the South of France for the next eighteen months and he can take his smartar se attitude and lack of an ability to get a backline moving over there and earn 600k a year for the next two seasons and then drop down to 400 a year for the 5 years after that and everything can be everyone elses fault adn he will never smudge the doorstep of oru Club.

One to be avoided at all costs.

Sorry but why would you buy another dickhead when we just got rid of three??
No way. Let him go to the Raiders or something.

Roz, he never had great speed and his skill and running game have been abysmal over the last few years.
He would not cut it in RL

Just got rid on of one selfish Canberra bogan, why would the Roosters take the risk on another, older but no better or wiser.

Giteau is not a bloke I would have mixing with our impressionable younguns. That's caused issues in the past and will again if we are not careful.
