  • The Top 30 at the moment (DEC 2019)

Just looking at the top 30 at the moment.
I'm interested in the last 2 places and maybe who will come out of the current top 30 , it all looks good though.

    Latrel will be gone
Ryan Hall is a great guy , but I think his body might be letting him down .
So we might have 4 spots for young guns.
Another interesting thing in the forwards , who will join the engine room and make the spot their own Collins , Faamausilli , Toupouniua ? (I like all 3)
Or will a young gun get over the top of them?

I think it's exciting times , we will be a different team with no Cronk , that will be the biggest loss and change of on field management.

Ryan Hall has a contract and I don't think his current injury is career ending so he'll be there. Might come good for us too.

If Christian Tuipulotu can make the top 30, in addition to Daniel Tupou and Sitili Tupouniua ...that makes us 10% Toops !

One of the strengths of Robb's coaching has been the way he has maintained the top squad. Excellent balance of up and comers and established players. It seems every player in the squad is genuinely considered able to play first grade and get the job done.

I also think Ryan Hall will maintain his place. Don't forget he didn't get a proper pre-season in last year.

Nor will he this year. I was one who thought he may well prove to be a revelation for us, but I think his 2 knee injuries have cruelled the Ryno experiment. I doubt he'll be retained beyond 2020.

Did he pick up a second injury?

I really like the look of Christian Tuipulotu. He's a center whos built like a forward. I would love to see him replace Latrell even though he's young, got a huge future ahead of him!!

Hall got injured playing for England a month ago.
Have never rated Hall & if I was the Chooks I would release him.

I'm with you Mickie. Too bulky to play in our backline.

I think Max Bailey will make the top 30.
                          One spot left.

It is shaping up to be a pretty handy side once again. Having a couple of openings is always a good thing - keeps those emerging players hungry to lift their game in a competitive effort to try and nail down their spots. I was optimistic about Hall when he arrived, but I now have reservations about his prospects. He is not getting any younger and I wonder what sort of mental state he is in given this second injury. It will be a big setback, and a challenge to recover from. Hopefully the club can manage this closely. I hope I am wrong, but I am starting to think that this experiment may be one of the very few in recent times that will not work out. Time will ultimately tell. I wish him all the best, just the same. I would be happy to be proven wrong on this one.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Of course I want Latrell to stay at the Roosters & be a one club player but I also want to see Billy Smith kill it for the Roosters in the centres for the next 10 years.
