    A game of 4 quarters?

    With Pete the Greek now in charge of delivering a broadcast revenue bonanza for the game. There is talk of the NRL considering implementing quarter time to obtain more ad breaks and therefore revenue.

    I just want to gauge people’s thoughts on this, as it essentially changes the fabric of the game.

    It would seem Australia’s two main football codes are heading in different directions, regarding the length of games and media strategy.

      This would ruin the game. Tiring forwards getting the chance to rejuvenate every 20 minutes would mean even more defensive football and less attacking football. Fewer tries. It will get boring pretty quick and the NRL will lose even more fans.
      All this so the networks can put in more adds.
      Clearly obvious who runs the game now. And it’s not the NRL.

        Absolute joke, changing the game without any real benefit to the game.

                  I think they mentioned the plan if they do quarters is to reduce the interchange

                            Interesting. Reducing the interchange means smaller squads, meaning extra cattle to go around. Hello extra teams.

                              Nah in the sense of reducing the number of interchanges made in a game - probably down to 6 per game
