Agreed there should be something done to remove the grey for sure - Laurie shouldn’t be allowed to tip/bet a ccm winner when he is a judge. Personally they should also have a back up set of judges in my opinion that step in if one or more of the judges has a strong affiliation with either team in the GF again to remove the grey and actually relieve them from what is probably unfair criticism.

I can cop that Meninga was one but Daley after him tipping Canberra and their players prior considering he works TAB? The NRL should be a little more selective to avoid anything controversial.

That's basically what happened according to idiot Kent last night.

Daley and Meninga both voted 3 pts for JWH and assumedly had Wighton next. They vote via their phones and Lockyers vote couldn't get through to the central recorder due to network congestion at the time possibly.

They took a punt as time was running out and told JWH to stand near the stage as he had won. At the last moment Frank Puletua received word that Lockyer had given his 3 pts to Wighton and was able to get a message to host James Bracey at the last minute.

        Farcical.

I can't really cop Wighton as CC winner. If he was the best player on the field then the rest must have been bog average. He's a half and their primary job is to direct their team's attack and create scoring opportunities. Other then scoring as try, what else did he do other then bomb to Brett Morris all night? He had no line breaks, no line break assists and missed 3 tackles

But after that shocking injustice it's only fair this magnificent team has one of their players win the CC medal.

Anyone remember the Monty Python "dirty fork" skit? In terms of over-reaction the 6 again paranoia reminds me of it.

Not surprised really, Lockyer was one of the rare nine commentators who picked the Raiders to win the other night.

The fact this guy is still allowed to judge these awards after the Billy Slater fiasco says it all really, a total farce.

Why would they have a mobile phone app voting system when there are only 3 judges.I mean how hard is it to get 3 blokes to wander down and cast their 3-2-1 at a pre.organised spot. FMD, anyone would think there was a hundred judges.
