I will get laughed out of the joint but i think DCE should have got it. That club ( yes i hate them) had a million injuries and still should have been playing in a prelim, his form was excellent all year also

I’m not sure why people are complaining that the awards should include finals and grand final, when they never have before.

and origin has nothing to do with the dally m awards.

Nothing to bite, same reason there is one prop of the year, one winger of the year and so on. If Cordner was nominated, shouldn’t Jake have also been nominated with him?

I'm fine with Smith wining. Cordner is a fantastic captain, but in the regular season the storm finished 6 points ahead of the next placed, and that is a great achievement

There need to be an asterisk against every coach of the year award. It isn't coach of the year, it's coach up until voting stops. If the award was decided this week you could argue it should go to Stuart. Took his team from outside the eight to a GF. If we win the GF it would have to go Robbo. If everyone says it's hard to go b2b, then they guy who does it for the first time in yonks needs to get the accolades.

Yesterday the Canberra Times was angry that Bateman was 'robbed again'. Apparently in a parallel universe somewhere, he's been Dally M multiple years in a row.
