  • Songs, chants, sayings...

I know its been mentioned here over the past few days about adding the 'EASTS' chant between the Viking claps but what other songs or chants are we taking to the game?

Living in Canberra at the moment, all we are hearing is the Raiders 'Bad and Mean' song everywhere. Was trying to think of something a little different and just had this one pop into my fat little head...

To the sound of a clucking chook... Back to Back or Baarrrk to Baaarrrk!

    Try it! lol

You have been living in Canberra too long - get out now before the damage is irreversible.

      All we have really is

      Here come the Roosters
      EASTS
      Roosters (clap clap clap)
      ole ole ole Roosters
If you're a Roosters fan stand up
      Rooster Rooster man
Cam Smith is a wanker (oops that was last week, any targets this week?)

After last year's GF on the streets of Bondi a kid brought a trumpet to play 'the chicken dance' that was pretty funny

Back in the 2003/4 days we used to run with “- “we’re so good it’s unbelievable”” - was great but don’t know if I’d be game to run this one out in a gf - gotta be pretty damn sure it’s in the bag - it’s such an arrogant chant but that’s it’s charm!

The one that made the biggest impression on me was one I encountered way back when I was a teenager in the 80s. There we were, a bunch of mates on the loose, on what was left of the old SCG hill and our defence was swarming all over the well-fancied Parramatta side. Everyone else seemed to know the song already but it wasn't hard to learn and we sung it as loud as we dared. It went like this.....

                      "Roosters here, Roosters there
                      Roosters every f**king where
Tra la la la, la la la, la la!"

Anyone else recall that one? Pretty sure I'd get clipped over the ear by the missus these days, but I reckon if there was an outbreak of this song on Grand Final day I'd cop the hit!

Mate I’ve been here (Canberra) for 28 years now. It does get easier to ignore the bogans over time.
