- a game-breaking fullback (i.e. Dugan, Slater)
- a left-centre who can break the line and/or set up his outside man
- a five-eighth who can break the line and set up tries
- an experienced, high-workrate prop to lead the pack
- a strong lock who can play tight and make plenty of yards

What annoys me is that we released Linnett, Carney, Ryles and Myles. They fit 4 of the 5 criteria there.
