As much as I’d love to see Souths bow out to Manly this week, the thought of them & the Raiders bashing the crap out of each other in the prelim sounds good as well. If those 2 sides meet in the prelim I’m not sure either will be in good enough shape to back up for a grand final.

I’m not sure who I’d rather play out of Parra & Melbourne. Parra are unorthodox & play with less structure, the complete opposite of the storm. Either side will be tough.

Given that we’ll be without Jared I’m leaning towards Parra as my preferred prelim opponent.

So you don't think roosters v storm/eels wont bash each other too ? don't forget, after the double bashings of the prelims finals, raiders or vermin/eagles get an extra day recovery for the GF !

I reckon Manly can get Souths.

I fear Storm will get a decent leg up from the refs after last week which will make Parras job tough.

It would be glorious to see both Souths and Melbourne bow out in straight sets.

Whatever the case, it's a Raiders-Easts GF which I suggested back in July.

I'd rather play storm at SCG rather than ANZ, the week off for us will help too - we play very well when fresh and prepared.

The only bummer is Jared being suspended - however at least we have two weeks to figure out a game plan to fix the void


Not sure if we will play the storm though - they are in a slump and left their halves experiment very late leaving croft out of the side. I don't think they will score many points with hughes at half

Regarding parra I dont think their defence is much, yes they smashed the bronx to nil but that was because the bronx were absolutely out of it the whole game. I dont think parra has played a contending team for a while other than Manly with their injuries. Their games against dogs/broncos away were their real indication of form. They may have got a confidence boost from last weekend, but they wont be at bankwest again. Their players a confidence players which can be hot or cold (moses etc)

Other way if melbourne had of won probably would have been Raiders then Melbourne anyway. So we’re just getting them the other way round.

This way is probably better anyway, we get Melbourne fresh off the two week break at the SCG where they have never played before.

Looks like it's going to be pretty wet in Melbourne this Saturday.. Which should suit Storm more and could end up a bruising encounter in the middle... Let's hope for some suspensions and minor injuries to who ever wins!! Haaaa!!

It’s always a hard slog to win a premiership. Unless of course you are Souths in 2014 and you are given it .

I like the idea of beating Souths, Melbourne & Canberra to win the comp. It would be similar to last season when the Chooks beat the 3 toughest teams to win the comp & be crowned the toughest of the tough.

Parra were good last week, but alot of that was down to the Broncos being pathetic. I don't see Parra troubling the storm whatsoever. Melbourne put 60 on them earlier in the season. I know that finals are a different game, but that just works more into the storms hands who have a number of players who know how to get the job done in big games.
