I think Robbo will bring Jake back if his fit and I'm expecting him to be a bit rusty after such a long time back.
Our team has been running like a well oiled machine since verills started steering us around. We have so much firepower we don't need a creative Cam Smith or Josh Hodgson type rake.Sam's passes are pinpoint and I can only recall a couple that have not been on the mark. He would definitely have to be on the bench as insurance.

Sorry, you just can't ignore Verrill's form. He is not just the future - he is the present, and he has helped get us where we are, big-time. Jake will be underdone and although I love him and he is a great player, he has consistent mistakes in his games like poor, ill-timed kicks and forward passes from dummy half.Last edited by ccfc bondi; 09-14-2019, 12:11 PM.

Assuming that Robbo decides to have jake and Verrils in a GF, who would he drop? The only one that might be considered IMO would be Tetevano, because he wont drop Gus, or Nat or Maubbs...But losing a tough prop who would run into a wall if needed would not be ideal if one of our props gets injured. The only solution...get the NRL to allow us to carry 5 on the bench so Sam V can play too....

So leave out or number 1 or 2 dummy half completely. Use our 3rd choice dummy half and 1st choice lock to give the hooker a rest. In doing so cover our 1st choice lock by picking our 7th or 8th best middle (pending JWH's suspension) on the bench. Weaning all 3 positions.Originally posted by Bondicigar View Post
Our utility hooker is wearing number 13
Instead of playing our number 1 and 2 hooker, letting them cover each other and keeping our 1st choice lock at lock. The sacrifice being that our 7th or 8th choice middle misses out a spot on the final bench spot.

Tetevano has been at the root cause of a lot of our linebreaks up the guts over the past couple of months and he was again last night with a very poor missed tackle.Originally posted by ROC181 View PostAssuming that Robbo decides to have jake and Verrils in a GF, who would he drop? Butcher has quite evidently jumped ahead of him.
If we weren't so far ahead last night I doubt Tetevano would have seen much more than 10-15 minutes last night.
SST and JWH were both held back to an extent, both only played 40 minutes.
I like Tetevano and agree he has his value, takes all the ugly runs but whilst JWH and SST are there for first play carries he's not needed.

In my opinion Trent already made the mistake of not playing Verrills earlier. Had he done so we might have been in a better position to challenge Storm for the minor prem. If he plays Friend now he's only compounding the problem . Watching Verril's interactions with the team its almost as though he's been there forever. love the guy but what's that bit about him liking blue keys!
BTW anyone thinking we can win without Jared has been on way too much turps.

Verills should be kept in the side. Friend I believe has been preparing for over a month but Robbo didn’t want to risk him so played Verills. With only one or possibly two matches at most, the team will be at full strength if JWH plays. If not and we win then we will have our full roster back for the GF. But it’s a luxury other teams would envy.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

is the part in bold, is that 2 different statements because I understand it that he is essential through the guts to get us linebreaks but then you say that he missed a tackle. Yes I agree he isn't the most fit of our forwards especially in defence but he would cause problems to oppositions players with his 2 style speed of Stop or Bust!Originally posted by Rooster_6 View Post

Anyway when does this missed tackle happen as I am watching the replay at the moment?
Cheers!

If JWH was playing I'd agree on Verrills over SST.Originally posted by Rooster_6 View Post

But the loss of his minutes is huge.
If SST goes down with a calf problem after 5 minutes then we'd be up shit creek.
I think the bench will be Butcher, Angus, Collins, Tets, with Friend starting.
Where as if JWH was playing you'd see Verrills ahead of Tets.
