Didn't Taupau come out yesterday and say he was angry about how the club started that rumour by shopping him around because he wanted to stay and never looked elsewhere?

In the words of one Manly fan... that rumour is 'dead, buried and cremated'.

I’ve heard of Marty Taupau but I’ve not heard of Tapau.
If & when JWH retires or moves on he will be replaced by that hard arse Marty Kennedy.

I wouldn't rule out JWH getting a tap on the shoulder in the near future.

I would have RCG at our price, particularly if the Panthers are going to kick in most of his salary. Robbo would have him back playing SOO in no time

JWH has the biggest motor of any prop in the NRL. Marty was sucking them in like on his last legs last week for Manly. It's no deal, only a fool would swap NZ's Man of the Series last year for a sub off the bench.

Marty wouldn't even be the best prop on this team if this was to eventuate. Pay him a bunch to be worth less than SST? Pass.

As poor as RCG has been going, you are probably right. The environment and coaching at the Roosters is a world a way from the Panthers and he would probably be a high chance of coming good again.

At this stage I wouldn't really trade JWH for anyone. I think he has 3-4 years left he wants them. With so many young props coming through I don't see the point in paying big dollars for an established star.

He is right? There are others that come to prominence at times but over a long period JWH has been immense.
