Good late comeback from the bears to win. Roosters players were all good.

Brock Lamb scored a double, Verrils scored too, ikavalu also set up a good try with good hands - all at clutch moments

    collins also was good

Bears got up 28-24 in the end. Some dodgy refereeing kept the game close. I don't think Bears got a penalty at all in the second half.

It was a case of the behemoths (they had some big boys) vs the fitter quicker Bears.

Best on ground were a couple of whipping boys ... Lindsay Collins and Brock Lamb. Probably the best games I've seen either play and crucial to the victory. Special mention to Keiran Moss at fullback, he's a beauty. And Billy Smith strong again incl. another meaty.

Was solid. Didn't display his individual trademark dummy half scoots but that could have been slow the balls, and a stop start game with the officiating.

Lovely width and accuracy of passing was notable though. Scored a sneaky try from dh right on the line. Stats not up yet to show total minutes, tackles etc.

Collins is right at home where he belongs in reserves. Hasn’t got the temperament for NRL at this stage. Been a big disappointment.

              Might just need more time.

He has been a bit underwhelming but credit where it's due was outstanding yesterday. Don't know where it came from, but was error free, strong hit ups and yardage, and defensively strong. Even ran down a tearaway winger! Was the only Bear forward of notable size against a monster pack.

Is still only 23 so not writing him off. The main thing is to make yesterday's performance a consistent standard.

I'm not saying mark his papers Never to be Released just yet...but hang in there for the moment.

                  How did Lachlan Lam go?

He was ok with limited opportunities. Hit the support runner for a try which was good to see this time! Went to short kick a couple of times when I thought the hands were a better option, but always looked dangerous. Left side attack of him, Hutch, Billy and Moss lurking was threatening but slow rucks and no penalties curtailed their opportunities. He was sin-binned unfortunately for final 10 minutes when his quick feet would have terrorised the tiring opposition. I mentioned earlier that Brock Lamb was certainly the best half on the paddock though.
