is there any chance of him making a recovery this year. A good mate of mine had the same injury and said it was an 18 month recovery.

this scares the shyte out of me. I’m guilty of bagging him so I’m going to hell anyway, but I don’t think we can go close to winning without him

Keary suffered a serious concussion back in Round 11 against Newcastle and hasn’t played since, with the club unwilling to risk the playmaker.

But forward Jared Waerea Hargreaves confirmed Keary has been training well for the last couple of weeks and is firming to make his return this week.

Hooker Jake Friend is also close to returning from a ruptured bicep injury suffered in Round 7 against St George Illawarra.

It’s understood Friend put his hand up to return for last week’s clash against Melbourne but club medical staff decided to hold him back for at least one more week.

The normal recovery period is 3-4 months.

Keary’s return will see Latrell Mitchell move back into his usual spot in the centres.

I only hope Friend is not rushing back too early. I would prefer a fully fit Jake only.

Would of thought there would be a intense full contact session followed by a final specialist check up for Keary, have no doubt the club will be taking every precaution with him.
