  • Jake Friend

Good day lovely people Iíve missed you all. Hangover has finally gone from last years GF win.

    re. Jake Friend

is there any chance of him making a recovery this year. A good mate of mine had the same injury and said it was an 18 month recovery.

this scares the shyte out of me. Iím guilty of bagging him so Iím going to hell anyway, but I donít think we can go close to winning without him

    thoughts?

    Welcome back.

Did your friend receive the same level of treatment which Friend would be receiving in order to get him back on the field?

Do you sleep in the dark or do you sleep with the light on?

          Say your prayers little one
          Don't forget, my son
          To include everyone
          Tuck you in, warm within
          Keep you free from sin
          'Till the sandman he comes
          Sleep with one eye open
          Gripping your pillow tight
          Exit, light
          Enter, night
          Take my hand
          We're off to never-never land
          Somethings wrong, shut the light
          Heavy thoughts tonight
And they aren't of Snow White
Dreams of war, dreams of liars
          Dreams of dragon's fire
And of things that will bite
          Sleep with one eye open
          Gripping your pillow tight
          Exit, light
          Enter, night
          Take my hand
          We're off to never-never land
Now I lay me down to sleep
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I die before I wake
If I die before I wake
I pray the lord my soul to take
          I prayÖ

On another note, the premiership ladder is not a ladder it's just a STEP. Talk about congestion.

I thought all reports are that Jake is going well and will be back sooner than expected.

According to the telegraph he wanted to play last week, but the medical staff want him to wait another week

https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...937598d683f505 Sydney Roosters five-eighth Luke Keary is set to return for the premiers on Friday night against the West Tigers.
Keary suffered a serious concussion back in Round 11 against Newcastle and hasnít played since, with the club unwilling to risk the playmaker.

But forward Jared Waerea Hargreaves confirmed Keary has been training well for the last couple of weeks and is firming to make his return this week.

Hooker Jake Friend is also close to returning from a ruptured bicep injury suffered in Round 7 against St George Illawarra.

Itís understood Friend put his hand up to return for last weekís clash against Melbourne but club medical staff decided to hold him back for at least one more week.

The normal recovery period is 3-4 months.

Kearyís return will see Latrell Mitchell move back into his usual spot in the centres.

Good chance Latrell will score 2 maybe 3 tries against the Tigers playing back in the centres.
I will put a few dollars on him to be first try scorer.

Sounds like a good bet Mickie, Toups on his outside is a good chance too.

What would be Keary's fitness test? Wasn't it a mandatory six week break?
I only hope Friend is not rushing back too early. I would prefer a fully fit Jake only.

Would of thought there would be a intense full contact session followed by a final specialist check up for Keary, have no doubt the club will be taking every precaution with him.
